Description

The QNUK 3-Day, Level 3 Award for Physical Intervention Trainers for Close Protection Operatives in the Private Security Industry (RQF) is intended for trainers who wish to offer physical intervention skills training to Door Supervisor (DS) or Close Protection Operatives (CPO), for the Level 2 part of any Full or Top-up course.

From the Security Industry Skills and Qualifications Review (SISQR) in 2018/2019 and the subsequent physical Intervention consultations, it was agreed that a new requirement for Door Supervisors & Close Protection operatives to undertake physical intervention skills training. Since June 2010 physical intervention skills have been part of the door supervisor linked qualifications and trainers offering the Level 2 qualification must have completed this trainers qualification (approved model).

On successful completion of the course new trainers will be given everything to deliver the Level 2 Application of Physical Intervention for Door Supervisors and the added Level 2 Physical Intervention for Close Protection, through any of the SIA recognised Awarding Organisations (AO).
