P600 provides delegates with the necessary skills and knowledge to improve their understanding of Performance Measurements in LEV.
For many this will act as a starting point in their progression towards a career in LEV. P600 can be taken by newcomers to the field of LEV or by less experienced LEV personnel as part of their progression towards a Level 4 qualification, eg P601 – P604 series). P600 is a Level 3 course.
It does not confer ‘competency’ on the delegate to allow them to undertake stutory examinations and tests under CoSHH Reg 9.
In general terms – by attending this P600 delegates will gain knowledge and understanding of the:-
Basic components of local exhaust ventilation systems.
Methodologies for undertaking the performance testing of LEV equipment
Qualitative visualisation techniques (smoke release/’dust lamp’ etc).
Quantitative measurement techniques (anemometers, Pitot tubes etc).
