Meet the Host:

Mathew Parkins is the Founder & Director of The AI Guys, an AI consultancy and automation agency based in Colchester, Essex. The AI Guys help businesses of all sizes — from small startups to organisations with 300+ staff and £10m+ turnover — cut through the noise around AI and put it to practical use, building custom automations, voice agents, document parsers, and training programmes that save real time and money. The agency's mission is to give back 1 billion hours to businesses by 2045.

Mathew brings over 15 years in business development, 10+ years in marketing, and 4+ years specialising in AI implementation to that mission. He delivers hands-on training and builds custom AI tools including voice agents, document parsers, pipeline dashboards, and learning platforms, with particular expertise in Microsoft Copilot, Make.com automation, and conversational AI. He regularly speaks to senior leadership teams and large conference audiences, and is also an Entrepreneur in Residence at Anglia Ruskin University, where he designed and delivers a six-session entrepreneurship module and features on the MBA programme.

Mathew and The AI Guys work closely with organisations including the Essex and Suffolk Chambers of Commerce, the Institute of Directors, the Federation of Small Businesses, and several colleges and universities across the region.
