Great resources. I used the initial assessment with all my groups at the start of the year to get a benchmark of what they know and understand. This really helps to tweak my curriculum to meet their needs and address any misconceptions. I love that all the resources you can edit too. Saved me a lot of planning time and reassuring to know that it’s can from established food teachers, therefore do g need to second guess myself with regards to content.

Incredibly flexible resource, some to be literally copied and used, other parts which could be tailored to individual needs.

I thoroughly enjoyed the course on Saturday. learning about sustainability and how to fillet different types of fish. And of course, sampling the simple recipes after making them.

The Food Teachers Centre UK offers engaging, well-structured training that’s both practical and inspiring. I especially enjoyed the clear science behind sustainable fishing and fish farming, along with the useful cross-curricular links. As a first-time participant, I’d love even more hands-on opportunities in the future, such as fish farm visits or workshops on cooking crustacean dishes. Overall, excellent professional development—highly recommended!
