• Who is the examination-only option suitable for?

  This option is intended for learners who have already completed suitable training or have the required industry knowledge and simply wish to undertake the assessment to achieve the relevant qualification.

• Does this booking include any training?

  No.

  This booking is for the assessment or examination only and does not include any classroom or online training.

  If you require training before completing the assessment, please book the full course, which includes both the training and the assessment.

• Do I need to complete training with Ember Compliance before booking this examination?

  No.

  You do not need to have completed your training with Ember Compliance. If you've completed suitable training with another provider or have gained the required knowledge and experience through your work, you may book the examination, provided you meet any published entry requirements or prerequisites.

• What time should I arrive?

  We recommend arriving approximately 15 minutes before the course start time. This gives you plenty of time to register, enjoy refreshments and get settled before the training begins.

• Are refreshments provided?

  Yes.

  Tea, coffee and refreshments are available throughout the day for all classroom learners.

  For full-day courses, a complimentary lunch is also provided. Before your training date, we'll contact you to ask about any dietary requirements or allergies to ensure suitable catering is arranged.

• What identification will I need?

  You'll need to provide a valid form of photographic identification before the assessment begins. This may include a passport, driving licence or another accepted form of photo ID.

  Any specific identification requirements will be included in your joining instructions.

• Can I use a calculator?

  Where permitted by the awarding organisation, a non-programmable calculator may be used during the assessment.

  Calculator apps on mobile phones or other smart devices are not permitted.

  If a calculator is allowed for your examination, this will be confirmed in your joining instructions.

• When will I receive my results?

  Results are issued after your assessment has been marked and verified by the awarding organisation. Timescales may vary depending on the qualification, but we'll let you know when to expect your results and will contact you as soon as they are available.

• What happens if I don't pass?

  If you are unsuccessful, please don't be discouraged. Speak to us to discuss the available resit options, associated costs and the next steps. We'll be happy to guide you through the process.

• What qualification will I receive if I pass?

  Learners who successfully complete the assessment will receive the RQF qualification detailed on the course page.

  RQF qualifications are nationally recognised and provide formal recognition of your knowledge and competence in the subject area.
