Course description
This course builds on the FD&FA Foundation module and/or industry experience, focusing on the practical installation of FD&FA systems in line with BS 5839-1.
It explores how installers apply the standard on site - including how to deal with issues that weren’t identified at the design stage.
You’ll develop a clearer understanding of installation requirements, compliance expectations, and how to maintain standards when conditions aren’t ideal.

This is Module 3 of 5 and builds on the Foundation and Design modules, supporting progression towards the RQF Level 3 Award in the Requirements of FD&FA Systems (BS 5839-1:2025).
