Your teams are experimenting with AI. Your board is asking about risk. Your legal department is worried about regulation. And nobody has a clear, shared understanding of what AI governance actually means for your organization.
AI Governance Essentials fixes that — practically, concretely, and with a toolkit you'll use the following week. One day. Eight domains. From ambiguity to a concrete action plan.
This training deliberately brings executives and practitioners into the same room. That's where governance alignment begins.
Executives & decision makers:
CEOs, CDOs, CIOs, CTOs, and board members
AI, analytics, and digital transformation leaders
Business owners of AI-enabled products and services
Practitioners & governance leads:
Data governance and data management leads
Risk, compliance, privacy (DPO), legal, and security professionals
Consultants and advisors supporting AI governance programs
Anyone who needs to bridge AI regulation and daily governance practice
No prior AI or governance expertise is required. Domain 1 builds the baseline for everyone.
Morning — Strategic context (Domains 1–3)
Domain 1: AI in your organization — What AI actually is, what types exist in your organization, and why your AI landscape is probably bigger than you think
Domain 2: Why AI governance matters — The real risks AI creates, what makes AI trustworthy, and how to articulate governance value in business terms
Domain 3: The regulatory deep dive —
EU edition: EU AI Act, conformity assessments, documentation obligations.
US/Global edition: NIST AI RMF and significant global regulations. Both: GDPR intersections and liability considerations
Afternoon — Operational tools (Domains 4–7)
Domain 4: Who owns what — Roles, decision rights, governance forums, escalation paths, and how AI governance connects to existing structures without duplicating them
Domain 5: Governing the AI lifecycle — Practical controls from intake to retirement: use case screening, risk classification, deployment gates, monitoring, drift detection, and incident response
Domain 6: Data governance meets AI — Data quality for AI, metadata and lineage, ownership, privacy, and what "AI-ready data" actually means in practice
Domain 7: Third-party, generative & agentic AI — Vendor AI due diligence, Copilot and embedded AI, generative AI acceptable use, agentic AI governance, and shadow AI
Late afternoon — From learning to action (Domain 8)
Domain 8: Your 90-day action plan — Minimum viable AI governance, 30/60/90 day milestones, how to present the plan to leadership, and the most common first-90-day mistakes to avoid
The day concludes with group discussion, Q&A, and distribution of all materials.
The core curriculum across all 8 domains is identical. The only difference is Domain 3:
EU Edition: Deep dive into the EU AI Act — risk classification, conformity assessments, AI literacy obligations, and the regulatory documentation trail your organization needs before August 2026.
US/Global Edition: Deep dive into the NIST AI Risk Management Framework and other significant global AI regulations shaping governance expectations across jurisdictions.
Both editions cover GDPR intersections and liability considerations. Choose the edition where your primary regulatory pressure sits.

Mathias Vercauteren — International Data & AI Governance Expert | Founder, DAIG Partners

Mathias is an internationally recognized expert in data and AI governance with 16+ years of hands-on experience across banking, insurance, healthcare, government, logistics, manufacturing, retail, and energy. He is the Global Project Manager of the DAMA-DMBOK® 3.0, co-developer of the Applied Data Governance Practitioner (ADGP®) certification at Dataversity, CDMP® certified, and an Executive PhD researcher in Data Governance at Antwerp Management School.
He has delivered AI governance training and keynotes at leading international conferences including DGIQ, Enterprise Data World, Data Modeling Zone, and the Data & AI Conference — across Europe and the United States.
His approach is practical, business-oriented, and built for both the boardroom and the governance office. Participants get a trainer who has built operating models, coached CDOs, designed AI governance frameworks, and shaped global standards — not someone who learned this from a slide deck.
Credentials: DAMA-DMBOK® 3.0 Global Project Manager · ADGP® Co-Developer · CDMP® Certified · Executive PhD · 12+ international keynotes · Author of 2 Forthcoming books: Data Governance Sprint (2026) and AI Governance Sprint (2027)
Executives, business leaders and practitioners who need a practical foundation in AI governance. That includes CDOs, CIOs, CTOs, AI leaders, data governance leads, risk and compliance professionals, DPOs, and consultants advising on AI governance. The program is designed to bring executives and practitioners into the same room — that's where real governance alignment begins.
No. Domain 1 builds the baseline. The program is designed so that a non-technical executive and a hands-on governance practitioner both get value from the same session. You don't need to understand how AI models work to learn how to govern them.
The core curriculum across all 8 domains is identical. The difference is Domain 3: the EU edition deep dives into the EU AI Act, European conformity assessments, and the regulatory documentation trail. The US/Global edition deep dives into the NIST AI Risk Management Framework and other significant global AI regulations. If you operate across both jurisdictions, pick the one where your primary regulatory pressure sits.
You receive a certificate of completion from DAIG Partners confirming your attendance and completion of the full program. It is not a third-party professional certification. The curriculum covers comparable depth to certification-level programs but is compressed into an essentials format designed for immediate practical application.
Three things. First, it's taught by the person who leads the global DAMA-DMBOK® 3.0 and co-developed the Applied Data Governance Practitioner (ADGP®) certification — not a generic trainer. Second, every participant receives the AI Governance Starter Kit with 10+ templates, an e-book, and board-level documentation — tools you can use immediately. Third, it covers vendor AI, generative AI, and agentic AI governance, which most programs haven't caught up to yet.
Live and digital, via Zoom. It's a full-day interactive session — not a pre-recorded webinar. You'll be in a small group of participants with direct access to the trainer throughout the day, including Q&A and group discussion.
EU edition: 09:30–16:30 CET. US/Global edition: 11:00 AM –06:00 PM Eastern / 8:00 AM – 03:00 PM Pacific. Both include scheduled breaks and a lunch break.
Yes. The EU session works well for participants in CET, GMT, and EET timezones. The US/Global session covers Eastern and Pacific. If you're in a timezone that doesn't align with either, contact us and we'll advise which session works best.
A stable internet connection, a device with audio and video, and access to Zoom. No special software or preparation is required.
Every registered participant receives 1-year replay access to the full recorded session. If you need to step away for part of the day, you can catch up at your own pace.
Both editions: €395 early bird / €495 standard (excl. VAT)
All sessions are priced in euros, regardless of edition. Early bird pricing ends 2 weeks before each session.
