Are you passionate to learn more about your craft? If you hold a UK Level 5 qualification (or equivalent) in Filmmaking or a similar subject and wish to earn a full honours degree, our BA Hons Filmmaking Top-Up course capitalises on our industry-standard filmmaking resources and the expertise of our lecturers – all of whom are professional practitioners in various film and broadcast capacities.
This cutting edge student-led course will provide you with the opportunity to further focus on a form and in a discipline of film production of your choice. This industry-relevant offering includes a critical understanding of applied film theory and an industry insight from our network of guest lecturers.
We are one of the few film schools in the country offering training in both film and digital production techniques, so if your destination is cinema, you will have the necessary skills to work in either medium.
With a clear focus on inspiring and developing practicing filmmakers, you will leave Screen and Film School with a calling card for your skills, a professional showreel and an understanding of how to navigate the film industry.
This course is validated by BIMM University and taught at Screen and Film School. Upon successful completion, students receive a degree from BIMM University.

Completion of Level 5 Qualification: Higher National Diploma, FdA, FdSC or equivalent in a similar subject.
Minimum of 2 A-levels at Grade C or above (64 UCAS points), OR BTEC Level 3 equivalent, and normally three GCSEs at a minimum grade C/4, including English Language.
IELTS 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 to be achieved in each band.
Graduates can progress directly to a career in the film, television and screen industry in areas such as producing, directing, screenwriting, sound, post-production, cinematography and first assistant directing.
Fees and Funding
Because we’re an industry-led practical film school, we’re uniquely positioned to offer outstanding value and quality to all our students. Course fees are currently £9,250 per year for UK students (subject to review) and there are no compulsory additional course costs however we strongly recommend investing in a Terrabyte external hard drive and a personal laptop/Macbook.
