What a fantastic way to spend a day! Spike is a great teacher and honestly just an enjoyable soul to be around.

Spike is a skilled, passionate and patient teacher. I knew absolutely nothing and have no practical skills yet came away after learning so much with two beautiful knives. I Can’t recommend this course enough.

The 3 day knife course was fantastic! Spoke was great teacher as well as entertaining - never felt like. Never felt like was asking a silly question and more than happy to answer about anything and everything! Hope to do another course in the near future, was sad when this one ended!

Such a great experience! A very well taught and practical course. From start to finish, I thoroughly enjoyed the process, smithing a rectangle of steel into a fully working and good looking knife. I'm looking forward to booking another course, and would recommend it to anyone.

This was my 2nd course with Spike, and it was possibly better than the 1st. As always he is super informative, punctual and helpful, along with being approachable and fun. This course was a great introduction into knife making, not too hard but plenty to learn. I will definitely be making another booking with him again I'm the near future.

Bought this for my partner as a Christmas present. He had a great day and knows what he wants for next birthday and Christmas.

A really good and enjoyable introduction to some practical blacksmithing techniques. The small, friendly group size allowed plenty of time for clear, one-to-one instruction. As a result the poker not only looks about as good as the illustration, it feels right in the hand and it works well. In all, it was a very satisfying experience.

A fantastic course; as an absolute beginner then knife that I created looks remarkably like the design that we were working towards. Spike:s style of teaching made the day relaxed and fun, with simple guidance from him to correct the mistakes we all made. He also explains the "why" - giving simple metallurgical reasons behind the behaviour of our red hot steel.

A brilliant experience and very professionally run, with great attention to the individual and their needs. Would highly recommend as an experience or even going into the Blacksmith industry. A must for all alike, thank you Spike 👍
