Absolutely brilliant day. Did not really know what to expect from the day. Achieved making a knife and while it may not win awards for the best looking knife it is certainly a very usable knife which will be used for many years.

I recently completed the 2-day knife making course at Bearded Pig Forge, what a fantastic experience. I arrived with zero knowledge, but under Spike’s expert instruction, I came away with a more than presentable knife I’m very proud of. Spike is not only a master of his craft but also a great storyteller, making the course both educational and entertaining. His teaching style is perfect—he guides you enough to avoid any 'cock ups' while still letting you follow your own taste and direction.

Yet another brilliant day with Spike making the Japanese Petty Knife. The 3rd such course I have done, and intend on doing many more. So much fun, lots of information and you get the object you're creating afterwards.

Excellent way to spend a day!

Spike welcomed us to the Bearded Pig Forge, and from his convivial welcome the day that started on a high remained that way throughout. He had a huge knowledge of metallurgy through history and enjoyed his craft so much his interest was infectious. He had great patience with us all and we achieved and departed with our resultant Viking knives to be proud of. I enjoyed the whole experience I will have to consider the next one.

I would like to thank Spike for a great day and I've been taught something I'd never looked into before. Spoke is very knowledgeable. Hopefully one day I can return and I highly recommend doing this.
