This course provides an introduction to the role of logistics within the supply chain

The course has been produced under a contractual agreement with WMG, University of Warwick. 

The course explains the roles freight transportation and warehousing play in logistics and supply chain operations. The course takes you through the different modes of freight transport, the evolution of logistics, its effect on the environment, the technologies used and the different types of warehouse operation.

Gwynne founded his own logistics consultancy and training company in 2003. He works with companies through both training and consultancy to improve their logistics operations, benchmark performance and decide whether to outsource or not. 

His three-day course on Warehouse Management is endorsed by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT). He has recently co-written the Warehouse Manager’s Certificate of Professional Competence course which is accredited by the CILT. He is a visiting lecturer in Supply Chain at Warwick University. 

He is also the Course Director for the Diploma in Logistics Management which is provided through North Kent College and Lloyd’s Maritime Academy.

Gwynne has also lectured at Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok and The Singapore Institute of Management. 

He runs courses in the UK, India, Malaysia, China, UAE, Africa and The Philippines.

He has also produced on-line courses in Warehouse Management and Logistics Outsourcing.
