Diploma in Agricultural Science Level 3 & 5's Description:
Level 3:
At level 3, students will be introduced to the principles and practices of agricultural science. The curriculum covers horticulture and nursery production, including plant propagation techniques. Additionally, students will learn about soil science and plant nutrition, including the role of fertilisers and other nutrients. The curriculum also includes a study of controlling plant pests and weed control methods, including both chemical and organic methods.
Level 5:
The Level 5 curriculum covers advanced topics in agricultural science. Students will learn about home gardening and the care of ornamental plants and cut flowers. Additionally, students will gain knowledge of permaculture techniques and aquaculture. The curriculum also includes a study of animal farming practices, including raising beef and dairy cattle.
