No — no experience or qualifications are needed to join this course. If you're new to business analysis, we'd recommend reading the BCS Business Analysis eBooks (included with your course) and consulting the reading list before Day 1, so you're comfortable with the basics going in. It's also worth exploring recent news and case studies on business analysis in your own industry sector, to help connect the syllabus to real-world context. A good level of English is recommended, as sessions and materials are delivered in English.
Sessions run 9:00am–4:00pm each day, including a 20-minute morning break, a 30-minute lunch break, and a 20-minute afternoon break.
Yes, all three days are delivered live via Microsoft Teams. You'll need a stable internet connection and a laptop, tablet or PC with camera and microphone to join fully. We'll send you the Teams link via email after you buy the course.
Three full days of live, instructor-led training, plus tutor support throughout the course, a live mock exam session on day 3, the BCS exam fee, a BCS eCertificate on passing, 1 year's BCS Associate Membership (worth £92) for new BCS members, and 12 months' access to the BCS eLibrary of over 100 BCS books in business and technology.
No, live sessions aren't recorded, partly to protect the privacy of other participants on camera. AI notetakers aren't permitted for this reason either. However, we include access to the accompanying online course materials, so you won't miss anything if you need to revisit a topic or miss part of a session.
Bookings are non-refundable once confirmed, as trainer time is booked in advance specifically for your cohort. The only exception is if the minimum attendee quota isn't met (see below), in which case we'll offer a new date, a refund, or the self-study alternative.
Yes, this live course runs with a minimum of 3 attendees. If that number isn't reached by 2 weeks before the start date, we'll contact you with options: move to a new date, a full refund, or complete the course through the self-study online version instead (with the difference between the live and self-study price refunded to you). This is the only circumstance in which a refund is offered, see our refund policy above.
The mock exam on Day 3 helps you prepare, and you'll book your official BCS exam separately using the link sent to you after the course — you will have 12 months to book and take the exam.
This course is delivered by Tahir Ahmed, an experienced IT professional and BCS-accredited trainer with over 40 years in the industry, spanning architecture, programme and project management, and business and systems analysis.
