At The Edinburgh Pottery Studio, we are dedicated to the art of ceramics: to the creation of utilitarian and non-functional ceramic art pieces as well as sculpture in clay. Our focus is excellence in wheel work, hand building and sculpture combined with an obsession for surface design and teaching these skills to our community. We teach wheel throwing and hand building in 5-8-week courses and 1:1 private lessons.

Jo Davies is a ceramic artist specialising in pottery and wheel-throwing. Her practice includes hand-making her fine porcelain design range of vases, vessels, lighting and unique objects alongside running a Teaching-Studio specialising in wheel-throwing.

Roukenglenpottery first opened its doors in 2003 in a small room in Rouken Glen Park. From these early days we’ve grown to become the most-visited Pottery Shop in the greater Glasgow area. We are proud that we make all our own pottery. We stock a huge range of affordable products, offer a wide range of weekly workshops. You can also just join us and choose something to paint. Come and visit us. We can’t wait to meet you and see what you’re creating.

We offer a range of ceramic classes and services suitable for all skill levels. Our workshops are designed to be fun and chilled we even allow BYOB. We have two levels to the studio the upper level our glaze area and private mezzanine party spot available for hire and lower level our workshop and wheel zone where you will find us working on an array of pottery for sale including commissions.

Hi I’m Jane and I was born and bred in Northumberland but I am now living in Preston Lancashire having travelled around the northern part of the UK a little bit, following a career managing hotels for most of my working life. I got to a point where things were drastically changing, customer service was going out of the window at the expense of the company solely looking to make money, not caring about the people who worked in it or used it as customers. This goes against my beliefs of helping others enjoy their time out and have a great experience with you. I set to looking for alternative roles within the catering industry getting pipped to the post every time. Whilst on holiday in 2005, I read an article about pottery painting studios, looked into it, found a course the next weekend. I went to the course, returning 2 days later announcing to my husband I was leaving the hotel to set up a pottery painting studio. It wasn’t quite that simple but it did happen and so Fired 4 U was born eventually in July 2006.

Ceramics Studio Co-op runs adult ceramics and pottery classes and provides specialised technical support to artists working with ceramics since 2014 in Deptford, South London. The studio is owned and run by the artists who work in it and have equal say in what it does. We are a worker’s cooperative.

We love introducing everyone to clay – dogs are welcome too. One of the great things about clay is that there’s no right or wrong. Just creativity, pleasure and the opportunity to unwind. Our exciting, interactive ceramics studio in North Devon is surrounded by beautiful rural countryside, just a five-minute drive from RHS Rosemoor Gardens.
