Welcome to my class! My name is Liz and I teach a gentle and mindful yoga class, open to all. My aim is to help you unwind in the evening and reconnect with your body and inner alignment. The class will be varied and include some slower paced flows (options always available to suit your practice/body), some meditative aspects, and some longer held yin and restorative poses. This is a practice meant for you, so I welcome any feedback/suggestions at the end of my classes with the aim of tailoring my teaching for the greatest benefit of the community. A bit about me: I have been participating in mindful movement for my entire life including experience in classical ballet, partner dance styles, and yoga. My teacher training was completed under a Zen Monk (Daizan Skinner) so I am greatly influenced by these traditions in my teaching. I feel a huge sense of excitement to be sharing this practice so that more people can experience the joy of connecting deeply with themselves, and with life. Outside of yoga, I love nature, music, and crafty activities! I use a tiered pricing system ranging from 5-9 pounds a class Please use whichever option is most appropriate for your unique situation. Fast Beginners Balboa Workshop with Simon Selmon Learn this popular 1930s Swing dance. Join Simon, one of the first UK Balboa dancers of the Swing resurgence and learn the basics you need to dance the Balboa and how to incorporate it into your Lindy Hop or Jive. Class will include the Uphold, Downhold, Rock Step basics, Come Around, Grapevine and Lollies. Suitable for those who have tried couple of taster classes before or you have other dance experience.

Learn simple breathing and vocal techniques to reduce stress and anxiety in the body, boost the immune system, and build connections for general wellbeing. We play with sound, rhythm and improvisation, learn close vocal harmony arrangements of different genres, and have loads of fun! An introduction to reading and writing music notation; for musicians of all abilities, taught by successful music teacher Janine Rogers. During the course you will cover the entire Grade 1 ABRSM theory syllabus through presentations, games, exercises and handout material.

“Music is the movement of sound to reach the soul for the education of its virtue.” - Plato Our Music Production Masterclass is a 2-day course led by music producer and Musical Theatre student, Jack Howells Davies, alongside a secondary Music Production tutor (TBC). With experience in music technology, composing, producing music for video, film scoring, composition and more, Jack’s expertise will help guide budding music producers on their journey to creating amazing music for a variety of formats.  Jack is currently studying a BA in Musical Theatre at the Conservatoire, and also has professional training at Hurtwood House, Guildford School of Acting and Stagecoach in a number of musical styles and genres, as well as experience in musical theatre audition technique, so he is a great asset to our teaching faculty who can advise in a number of areas. When you join this 2-day intensive course, you’ll learn the art of production which can help every type of creative to showcase their musical talents in the best way. This course will help students develop skills to produce music for outlets such as film and television soundtracks, and music videos, and musicians will even have the opportunity to write and play contemporary music for performance. ‍ WHEN AND WHERE? The Music Production Masterclass takes place in Cranleigh Arts Centre, around 20 minutes from Guildford. The venue has a professional theatre, a sprung dance floor for choreography sessions, dressing rooms, and lots of great areas for filming and multimedia activities, so it's the perfect spot for our aspiring performers to learn in. ‍ Tuesday 23rd - Wednesday 24th July 2024 In2Drama is split into two groups for age related focus 11-15 year olds: 9am - 12pm 16-21 year olds: 1pm - 4pm

A challenging and enjoyable week of music-making in a very friendly atmosphere. A feature of the Music Summer School is the very high ratio of tutors to participants, with a professional tutor for each instrumental and vocal section. All courses enjoy wide-ranging and exciting repertoire. There will also be a range of open sessions run by members of the tutoring team, plus informal sessions which are member-led. Concerts take place on many of the evenings, given both by participants and professionals. From 2024 we will be using the excellent facilities provided by Uppingham School in the county of Rutland.
