Course Summary Mini Medics - First Aid The Mini Medics courses is a Child friendly introduction to first aid and defibrillation aimed at children between the ages of 8 and 11, but it can suit children of any age from about 5 upwards. The course is kept at a basic level with no use of confusing terminologies. The mini medics course will show complete respect for the child’s ability, make it educational and practical, and instil the importance of helping someone who is poorly or injured. Fully illustrated 24-page ‘First Aid for Children’ book • A unique syringe pen in various colours (or colouring pencils) • A 4-page worksheet There is also the opportunity to purchase t-shirts and hoodies - delivered at a later date Course Contents A range of subjects are covered including: What is First Aid? Safety Communication and contacting the emergency services First Aid kits DR ABC Recovery position Choking Resuscitation (CPR) Defibrillation (AED) Wounds and bleeding Asthma Shock Certification A certificate of attendance is included with the Mini Medic book as a ‘cut-out’ for the child. Spend two lovely days at our alpaca farm designing and making your own completely unique hand woven scarf. Working on a Rigid Heddle loom you will choose your yarns from the beautiful natural colours and hand dyed yarns from the Burnt Fen Alpacas herd. We work in my studio - a Mongolian yurt next to the alpaca fields and the alpacas will no doubt visit to say hello. We have around 40 alpacas ranging through whites, fawns, browns, greys and blacks so there are plenty of natural colours to choose from! Any dyed yarn is hand dyed on the farm using natural dyes. Refreshments are available all day and a there is a delicious homemade soup for lunch.

A full day pottery experience in our studio in Golborne, nr Warrington, Cheshire. This pottery workshop is suitable for complete beginners. During this 1 day intermediate level Adobe Illustrator course you will learn how to use Illustrator's tools to create stunning illustrations and type effects. Building on our Introduction to Illustrator (or your exisiting basic knowledge) you will learn how to work with colours, create printable documents, use gradients, layers, fonts, text effects, work with page and product design along with many other more advanced features.
