Welcome to the fascinating alchemy that is wet felting. Starting with wool fibres in a wide range of colours we will create a piece of felt – which could be a picture or completely abstract. The finished fabric will be suitable to stitch into or just hang on the wall.
During the workshop you will learn all the skills you need to be a successful felter. You will choose the fibres, layer them in the right way and then wet the wool and encourage it to knit together. Once the initial wool tangling has been achieved it is then onto the felting proper, it does take a bit of energy on your part but is worth the effort.
You will take home a finished item at the end of the session and I will keep you motivated with tea and cake!
If you want to continue at home, I always have plenty of wool roving and felting tools in stock.
What's included - All materials, tutition, tea and cake
What to bring - Just yourself!
