Resuscitation Council UK’s e-ILS course blends a half day of e-learning with a half day of face-to-face practical learning. ILS covers numerous essential skills in resuscitation, including delivery of adult CPR, recognition and management of the deteriorating patient and working in a team during emergency situations.
The RC(UK) ILS qualification is recognised by the European Resuscitation Council and the Australian Resuscitation Council, giving you the freedom to use your lifesaving skills in other countries.
The Resus Council recommend a minimum of 2 weeks preparation time for the course - candidates are not advised to book on with less notice than this.
The e-ILS course is suitable for doctors, medical students, nurses, nursing students, midwives, paramedics and student paramedics, physiotherapists, dentistry professionals and other health and care professionals. It may also be suitable for fire service technicians, police personnel and prison officers.
The RC(UK) e-ILS course blends a half-day of e-learning with a half-day of face-to-face practical learning. The e-learning and pre-course MCQ can be completed at your own pace ahead of the course, and must be completed prior to attending the face-to-face training.

The face-to-face session focusses on skill stations and cardiac arrest simulations.
You will receive a full pre-course information email, along with a copy of the RCUK Immediate Life Support manual at least 2 weeks ahead of the course date. Candidates are expected to have read the manual in full prior to attending.

Successful Candidates receive a Resuscitation Council UK ILS provider certificate, which is valid for one year.
