Level 2 Workshop (F2F) Level 2 training builds on the knowledge you gained in Level 1 training. Content Level 2 training provides a practical learning session on how apply the Makaton Language Programme. The Level 2 Workshop builds on topics learnt from Level 1 training including; people, food, activities, objects and events. New vocabulary will also be introduced which is ideal for the school environment and work places. You will begin to learn more abstract concepts such as spatial locations, attributes, pronouns and actions. Duration Face to face workshops comprise of a minimum of six and a half learning hours. Workshops generally will take place over a full day of training. Deliver method: Venue based Accessibility Please raise if you have any challenges or additional needs, so reasonable adjustments can be made to support your learning and participation. Entry criteria Participants must have attended Level 1 training. Study materials you will receive a Participant's Manual, which includes the Makaton symbols and signs that you learn in the workshop. You will also be given a certificate of attendance. Please remember to keep your Level 2 training certificate in case you want to attend further Makaton training. Next step After completing Level 2 training you can continue on your Makaton journey by attending Level 3 training. His specific work in the offshore area covered Subsea Robotics / Automation, Seabed Production Concepts, Seabed Excavation Methods, Underwater Repair Techniques, Flexible Riser Studies and Maintenance Cost Reductions. After leaving BP in 1992, he continued working in the offshore oil industry through Azur Offshore Ltd, including activities in the assessment of Emerging and Novel Technologies, Technical and Economic Audits, Studies, Production Sharing Agreement Evaluations, Safety and Environmental issues. Clients have included Chevron UK, BP Exploration, British Gas, Technomare, Trident Consultants, Fina UK and Cameron France. He is a regular University lecturer at Crandfield School of Industrial Sciences (UK) and is a course Group Project external examiner for Crandfield. He also lectures on offshore oil industry activities at ENSIETA (France), the Technical University of Delft (Holland) and the Northern Territories University in Darwin (Australia). He is an active member of the UK Society for Underwater Technology (SUT) and serves on their Subsea Engineering and Operations Committee. This was followed by 10 years in offshore oil and gas design projects where he was responsible for setting up a Technical Safety group to change design safety practices in the aftermath of the 1988 Piper Alpha disaster. In recent years, he has been called upon to conduct various offshore and onshore incident investigations. His career has given him experience in project engineering, project management, process design and operations, safety engineering and risk management. He is a Fellow of the UK Institution of Chemical Engineers. He served on the Scottish Branch committee, and was elected chairman for a two-year term in 1991. He has also been chairman of the Safety and Reliability Society - North of Scotland Branch. He has delivered training courses in Process Hazard Analysis (HAZOP and HAZID), Process Safety Management, Hazard Awareness, Risk Assessment, Root Cause Analysis, Failure Modes & Effect Analysis and has lectured on Reliability Analysis to the M.Sc. course in Process Safety and Loss Prevention at Sheffield University.
