You may have heard the saying, 'There is no I in the team'! Well, we beg to differ. We ask leaders and managers to focus on the individuals in the team so that they get the most out of the whole team.
This thinking comes from our belief in Emotional Intelligence (EI). With EI, you can reach for the sky, but without EI, your dreams will die. If team members are unaware (or don’t care) that their behaviour negatively impacts others, they will continue to behave like that. When we become self-aware, we have the opportunity to behave differently, which is a really important moment as the team needs to know how to encourage this positive behaviour.
High-performing teams (HPTs) are united in their approach. No one is left behind, everyone is vigilant of each other, and mental health check-ins are a daily ritual, not just a task. This level of cohesion is not a coincidence but a result of leaders and managers fostering a culture of care and support within a psychologically safe environment.
HPTs operate as a collective unit, with minimal need for a Team Manager or Leader. They share a common concern for each other, driven by the shared objective of achieving team-based goals and outputs. This collective responsibility is a testament to their mutual support and shared accountability.
There may well be individual tasks or even KPIs, but they will all work collaboratively to ensure that everyone works well together, that no one slacks or repeats mistakes and that any of them will step in to help with workloads when they can without being asked.
Our workshop examines all the ingredients of the HPT, reverse engineers the recipe, and discusses each aspect, leaving everyone with a clear picture of how to create and maintain their own HPT.

PM meetings are often treated with little importance and an almost tick-box attitude. Most of us have experienced death by PowerPoint presentations, where the presenter, with the best intentions, puts up slide after slide slides that they read word for word to the audience already reading them.
We argue that it is not so much the presenter's fault but the fault of most people's idea of what a presentation should look like. We are here to change that.
If you ask most people how they learned to deliver a presentation, it was through their boss or a colleague and not in a more reasoned and educational setting such as one of our sessions.
Ask yourself… 'What do I want this presentation to do'? Is it to inform, persuade, sell a product or service, or sell impending change to our people? Whatever it is, we help you design and plan your presentation to meet that need to attain the ideal result.
However, we have a unique approach to presenting that stops the presenter from being solely responsible for persuading their audience but instead gets the audience to persuade themselves. 
We discuss the neuroscience behind our fickle brains and help you understand how to use that to truly engage your audience and make them do the thinking and reasoning.
We help you design activities and even tests (I know it sounds odd, doesn’t it) to help the people in your audience understand why what you are saying is so important and how they have decided that their thinking about what you are saying is correct.

What comes under the banner of Neurodiversity?
Neurodiversity includes Autism, ADHD, ADD, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dyspraxia, Dysgraphia and other conditions. 
Allow flexibility and creative engagement with induction and on-boarding. Discuss and agree on identified training needs and time frames. Ensure the immediate supervisor or line manager understands the workplace adjustments and support required to best enable the employee in the context of their neurodiversity.
Just because someone is diagnosed or has symptoms which come under Neurodiversity, it does not mean you can find a way to communicate and behave towards them all. 
We make reasonable adjustments to help people with all sorts of different needs. For those with a sore back, we may ensure they can have the right chair. Perhaps, like my sister, they are partially sighted, so you may offer speech-to-text technology on their PC and various accommodations for those who use a wheelchair, and so on. 
These are just a few of the many things that considerate and inclusive organisations do for their colleagues.

Who? 
Anyone who is self-motivated enough to want to help their neurodiverse (ND) colleagues. Some of our colleagues will have what is often described as a hidden disability. By understanding their possible challenges, how those challenges can impact them, and how they get stressed when colleagues don’t know or understand (or empathise with) their challenges. The smallest things you do after this workshop will make a big difference to people. 
Why? 
Because we ALL should be interested in helping all of our colleagues. 
Regardless of who we work with or for, we must all do everything we can to work well together and build and maintain excellent working relationships. 
When we truly understand things from the perspective of others (our Moccasin Approach®), we are far better able to communicate and work with them effectively and efficiently. 
We also need to be aware of the relevant laws (Equality Act 2010) and how we can ensure that we all make reasonable adjustments and support all our colleagues regardless of differences. 
Our Neurodiversity Awareness workshops enable all colleagues, regardless of hierarchical titles or positions, to become more aware of the possible needs of their colleagues who may be impacted by neurodiverse challenges.

How do I attend?

CLASSROOM OPTION - Attend one of our scheduled classroom locations, completing your Introduction to Phlebotomy Course over 2 days. You will also complete your Advanced Training at the end of the first day and your Competency Training at the end of the second day.

Our Introduction to Phlebotomy and Advanced Phlebotomy Training Kits are supplied at no charge when booking our virtual classroom training option.
If you would like to add one or both of these kits to your classroom training option then these are available to add at time of booking. Our comprehensive training kits each mirror the same equipment and supplies used in the classroom and both include detailed video tutorials, allowing you to continue to practice and "hone" your skills after you have completed your practical training.

VIRTUAL CLASSROOM OPTION- Complete your theory training online at home or work, then join us for a one day Zoom session to complete your Introduction to Phlebotomy virtual classroom training, followed by your Advanced Training in the evening of the same day. Our CITB Online - Site Supervisors’ Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) Refresher course is designed to give attendees a broad reminder of their responsibilities for health and safety on construction sites. Approved and endorsed by the United Kingdom Contractors Group, the SSSTS refresher course is a must for anyone who occupies a supervisory role on UKCG sites and wants to brush up on their knowledge of their legal responsibilities and the latest construction industry regulations.
The SSSTS Refresher course has been created to provide existing supervisors, or those who are just entering into a supervisory role, with in-depth knowledge of health and safety legislation and procedures. If a candidate completed a full SSSTS training course up to 5 years ago, they will be required to attend a refresher programme.
Prerequisites
SSSTS certificates are of course valid for up to 5 years, but due to the ever-changing nature of the industry, it is recommended that staff stay up to date by enrolling on a refresher course long before the qualification expires.

Please note all Site Supervisor Training courses with the venue “Remote Learning” will be delivered by a tutor over a video call.
This training will be delivered and assessed in English language; therefore, a good standard is required to complete the course.

She loves all things funny, fantasy and adventure &ndash; across lands, time and space, and involving strong friendships and strong lead characters - and wants to be transported straight away when reading a manuscript. She likes very vivid, well-crafted and imaginative worlds, such as stories set in a toy factory or in an underwater world. Thérèse is a Literary and Rights Agent at Susanna Lea Associates, @SLALondon. Born and raised in Belgium, on a diet of frites and Tintin she moved to England in her late teens with her family, then stayed in London to do a History degree and Masters at University College London. Having been brought up bilingual, translation rights seemed like her logical next step. She started off in the rights department at Bloomsbury Publishing, before hopping across the square to Ed Victor’s agency, and found experiencing both the publishing and agency side of publishing incredibly valuable.
She has been building her own list of authors alongside selling translation rights since early 2016, which she has hugely enjoyed; working with authors right from the book’s conception, while also experiencing the thrill of selling her own authors’ works in the UK and US as well as in translation to publishers across the globe.

In terms of adult fiction, Thérèse has a huge soft spot for historical fiction, having read Early Modern History at university, but is also very much on the hunt for crime/thrillers, bookclub, high-concept love stories and literary fiction. She loves strong female characters, in particular when they go through an evolution or journey as the story progresses and gradually find that inner strength.

On the children’s fiction front, Thérèse is all about finding a fresh, new voice. She loves all things funny, fantasy and adventure – across lands, time and space, and involving strong friendships and strong lead characters - and wants to be transported straight away when reading a manuscript. She likes very vivid, well-crafted and imaginative worlds, such as stories set in a toy factory or in an underwater world. Thérèse would love some more adventures set in space, mysteries, quirky characters, explorers and imaginary friends.

And last, but not least, in non-fiction, history features heavily in her interests, but Thérèse would also love to see books about big ideas, culture, sociology, science, anthropology and memoir. Anything that helps expand the mind and questions or informs the way in which we view ourselves, the world and how we fit into it, all written in an engaging and accessible manner.

Demonstration of the IR vein detector for assisting in detection of difficult veins.

Detecting suitable veins in the back of the hand.
6 - POC testing:
Point of Care Testing - use of glucose meter to demonstrate a typical POC test procedure. Correct use and overview of other POC test devices.
7 - Using lancets (finger collection)
We look at the correct use of lancets for POC testing and whole blood micro-collection.
8 - Using lancets (heel collection)
We look at the correct use of lancets for neonatal blood spot tests (Guthrie Test).
9 - Capillary collection
Using glass capillary tubes for micro-collection. Correct use and handling.

A phenomenological approach to re-view psychopathology:
We aim to explore the lived experiences of irregular perceptions of reality with an open mind. Each Saturday includes a live dialogue between Prof Ernesto Spinelli and an International Existential Therapist; a moment to share your thoughts and feelings with the teachers; and a final integration facilitated by Bárbara Godoy.
This series of ten Dialogues set out to explore the multifaceted dimentions and complexities associated with Existential Therapies. It attempts to engage with various interpretations of insanity through the lens of patients' often painful, confounding, and deeply unsettling life experiences.
