What is our Phoenix Effect workshop about?
Our Phoenix Effect workshop helps your organisation burn down the toxic elements of its organisational culture and working environment and rebuild them through a positive, collaborative, and people-focused long-term plan.
The plan is created by the end of the workshop for everyone to take away and collaborate in its success. The success will be managed, driven and, yes, even policed by the Organisational Culture Engagement Team (OCET), or whatever name you decide to give it.
The team will consist of individuals from all levels within the organisation who are motivated to make this work and see the growth of a new and better organisational culture driven by its organisational values (make sure your values are people-focused).
The overarching psychological safety will be guaranteed in the People Strategy document (I can help you with that if you haven’t got one yet). In it, the organisation will state that all colleagues, regardless of their position, will not just be permitted to say what they want to anyone at all, but that they will do so as part of their job.
Furthermore, the organisational values should be copied into every job description as part of the employee contract. This, in turn, permits the one-to-one chats to ensure colleagues are doing their jobs by performing as they should and behaving in a manner that supports the organisational values and culture.
The organisation will then be set up to continue on that journey, with everyone working collaboratively in a psychologically safe environment to grow a superb organisation to work in and attract new talent.
Who?
All people in HR and Training/L&D. People from various levels who will have volunteered and been identified as motivated to drive the organisation-wide development required to succeed.
Why?
We should ALL want to help improve our working environment and make our teams feel safe and happy.
Regardless of who we work with or for, we must all do everything we can to work well together and build and maintain excellent working relationships.
When we truly understand things from the perspective of others (our Moccasin Approach®), we are far better able to communicate and work with them effectively and efficiently.
It’s the people in an organisation who make it or break it. They help create positivity or negativity. Do well by your people, and they will do well by you.
Workshop Content
All Phoenix Effect workshops are facilitated by our managing director, Mac Macdonald, who has vast experience helping organisations from all industries of all sizes and sectors.
We open with our ingredients of Emotional Intelligence (EI).
We then delve into the truth about Organisational Culture (OC) and share our honest thoughts and opinions.
Everyone completes our OC self-assessment in small groups and then shares their thinking to build a starting hit list.
Small group discussions to establish possible solutions to their OC issues?
What causes these issues, and what can we suggest as possible solutions?
How will the fire burn down the old culture, and how will the new culture rise from those ashes and plan the change?
We will discuss our ES2 thinking and see why it is critical to this Phoenix Effect objective.
We discuss “Consequence Conversations” and why they must be used.
We examine our “ARCHWAY Approach”® to understand why it can be used as a health checker.
LENGTH - For more information about duration, please get in touch with us to discuss your specific needs, or we can offer advice.
NEXT WORKSHOP START - Please ask for more information as we deliver bespoke closed events for your people at your location or a mutually suitable location.
WORKSHOP DELIVERY - The best environment for this workshop is face-to-face, but we can facilitate this workshop online.
When you consider the content we deliver, we are sure you will understand why we always prefer to deliver our workshops, courses and programmes face-to-face.
Face-to-face workshops and courses can be held at a location of your choice or, if you wish, a central UK location, such as the Macdonald Burlington Hotel in Birmingham, located directly across from the Birmingham New Street train station.
We can deliver our workshops, courses and programmes online, although this will mean splitting elements into manageable learning events to suit the online environment.
No, our prices include ALL of our expenses. So the price you are quoted is the price you pay.
We strongly recommend groups of three up to a maximum of 12 and no more. We can "occasionally" make exceptions.
On the Train the Trainer, it is a maximum of 6 people due to each person delivering their training sessin, the video recording and individual feedback on the last day.
1. We offer lifetime short post-event support for all our events for up to two years.
2. Our reputation is built and maintained by ensuring you attain the ROI you need. Our post-event support helps you achieve this.
3. We offer bolt-on sessions at a reduced rate as required for up to one year.
4. Our pricing is all-inclusive, ensuring you won't be surprised by additional expenses.
5. Mac Macdonald (our lead facilitator) has extensive hands-on experience in all types of organisations and industries, including his military service, where he taught leadership, management, train the trainer and communication skills.
6. Fully downloadable online PDF handouts for your workshops, courses and programmes which are regularly updated.
7. Our delivery style is not a lecture but a series of in-depth discussions on the topics, ensuring what we deliver to your people isn't just informative but also relevant to their working environment.
8. For organisations with neurodiverse (ND) colleagues, Mac Macdonald will always deliver your events, as he is diagnosed as autistic (high functioning) and can personally relate to ND people and their needs.
9. Mac attained his master's in how emotional intelligence impacts leadership and management.
10. We directly fund our own charity, FLOW for ALL (Forces Literary Organisation Worldwide for ALL).
Whilst initially focussed on serving military and veterans, the charity now supports anyone impacted by PTSD from any trauma and other mental issues by writing, sharing, and commenting on each other's work.
