Change is constant in our lives, yet our ability to resist it, avoid or even stop it is also constant. But why? And how do we fix this?
This workshop examines the many challenges change brings and identifies the various types of people in a change process. We will brainstorm all the possible reasons for resistance to change and discuss our experiences with those who were resistant to the idea of change. 
We then look to work positively on solving or at least reducing all the negative aspects of change and positioning change in a far more positive light. 
In some cases, the impending change will upset pretty much everyone in the organisation, and we need to know how to mitigate its impacts. In fact, we need to understand how sometimes we can agree with most people's thinking, understand their resistance and negativity, and still be able to turn things around to prove that the change needs to happen.
Changes will happen, and whilst we can’t remove all the negatives from each person's perspective, we can plan, prepare, and manage change surprisingly well when we have the tools and processes to do so.
Always remember to get your people to think about the long game.

This Emotional intelligence-based course covers aspects of training, facilitation, question techniques, time management, people skills, assertiveness, and communication.
The first day builds on what attendees have already experienced and asks the more experienced attendees to share some of their experiences with the group. These are useful to discuss real issues.
On day two, we round off the discussions by lunchtime and the afternoon is spent planning the final session to be facilitated the next day. Our facilitator guides and coaches in the afternoon and will also be available during the evening for phone calls.
On the third day, everyone delivers their mini-coaching session (following our coaching template) while managing their fellow delegates who act as learners in the learning centre.

What is the AM2 assessment? The AM2 assessment is an industry recognised trade test designed to evidence that candidates have gained all relevant and safety-critical competencies during their training process. It provides a single standard that has been agreed upon by employers within the electrical industry, giving a reliable and trusted guarantee of safe, high-quality skills for the electrotechnical industry. Who is this for? This is aimed at apprentices who are coming to the end of their training for the JIB apprentice training scheme and the Installation of modern apprenticeships. This course is also for experienced electricians, specifically those who are looking at taking the experienced worker route (AM2E.) There are a range of assessments for candidates based on their level: AM2 – This is for candidates undertaking the JIB mature candidate assessments and those following the level three NVQ who isn’t an apprentice. AM2S – This is for electrotechnical apprentices who are training against the apprenticeship standard AM2E – This is for experienced workers who are completing the experienced worker assessment. Please note: this can only be taken once you have gained the experienced worker qualification, proof must be provided before booking the AM2 assessment. What does this assessment consist of? Overall, the AM2 is an in-depth assessment carrying out tasks to show what you have learnt on your training. It is a practical assessment with five sections (six for AM2E and AM2S) and a short online component. Candidates will be expected to install, connect, terminate, inspect, test, commission and diagnose faults, following installation specifications provided and any relevant statutory and non-statutory regulations on: A three-phase distribution board and subcircuit A central heating/sustainable energy system Lighting and power circuits A data cabling system A safety services circuit and device Installation of containment systems (AM2E and AM2S only) Candidates will complete timed tasks in equipped areas that contain typical electrical installation wiring systems – all work must comply with BS7671 Wiring Regulations, industry best practice, and meet the requirements of relevant health and safety legislation. The assessment will be carried out in strict exam conditions across 2.5 days. Do I need an AM2 certificate to work as an electrician? Apprentices must pass their AM2 test in their final year to complete their apprenticeship. Also, if the apprenticeship standard is not being followed, an AM2 certificate and a level three NVQ is required to gain a gold card. If you are already working as an electrician, you will not need an AM2 certificate. If you are training to be an electrician and are registering for your NVQ level three in Electrical Installation or Maintenance, the electrotechnical diploma now includes the AM2. GPT010:
Understand the acceptable variations within the normal ECG of healthy adults.
Recognise the expected patterns of an ECG from a healthy child from birth onwards and identify abnormalities.
Interpret abnormal ECG patterns in adults.
Diagnose arrhythmias as an underlying cause of palpitations and syncope. Exploring sinus rhythm, extrasystoles, paroxysmal tachycardia and the importance of a physical examination.
Identifying syncopal episodes attributable to cardiovascular disease as opposed to arrhythmias.
Recognise ECG markers for tachycardias, bradycardias, pre-excitation syndromes, bi-fascicular block, and first-degree block with bundle branch block.
Differentiate between supraventricular and ventricular extrasystoles and be able to diagnose broad complex tachycardias, ventricular flutter and fibrillation, sick sinus syndrome, and Stokes-Adams attacks.
Recognise and identify symptoms associated with the causes of acute or chronic chest pain in patients who present with myocardial infarction (heart attack), pulmonary embolism, significant central pulmonary embolism, pericarditis, aortic dissection, oesophageal rupture, spinal disorders, vertebral collapse, posterior infarction, and angina.
Recognise symptoms indicative of conditions such as pulmonary oedema, chest diseases, and pulmonary congestion.





After the course
GPT009:
Safely and competently set up an ECG machine
Introduce patients to the ECG test, adhering to compliancy requirements before and after testing
Perform an ECG test to national guidelines
Understand basic traces and their correlation to cardiac issues
Recognise normal and erroneous recordings
Recognise recordings that require urgent medical follow-up
Complete the recording and label (or record digital copies) as per guidelines
GPT010:
Appreciate normal and abnormal ECG variations in the context of varying pathologies.
Be able to determine whether an arrhythmia has an underlying cause that requires medical intervention.
Interpret ECGs as a function of the patient's ongoing cardiac management.
Understand and apply the Burce Protocol exercise test in relevant clinical situations.
Know how to clinically respond to a patient with chest pain including further investigations required, pain relief, history and examination and echocardiogram.
Understand and apply the fundamental principles of arrhythmia management.
Understand the primary causes of heart disease and the diagnostic process.
Appreciate the importance of the ECG as a diagnostic tool alongside the patient’s history and clinical presentation and recognising its limitations.
