First Aid at Work is a 3 day course 1 day is delivered on line. If you are already qualified just choose the 2 day option to requalify and you skip the online element. The course is suitable for people who work in high risk workplaces and covers the worst case scenarios and some of the more common minor stuff and goes on to cover common injuries and conditions a first aider might come accross. Initial training: 1 day online learning 2 days in the Splat classroom. Initial training is a BLENDED course meaning that 6 hours of work must be completed online BEFORE the start of the course. Without this completed online element delegates will not be able to attend training and places cannot be refunded. Registration for the online element will be sent separately when booking is complete. Requalifier: If you have a **current First Aid at Work Certificate** you need only attend the 2 classroom days. You can choose this option at booking. First Aid Training at Splat is relaxed and enjoyable. We aim to help you learn and support you to get what you need from the day. There are some practical and some multiple-choice assessments but our job is to ensure you have everything you need to pass these easily. Please note that First Aid can be quite physical, you will need to be able to kneel on the floor to perform CPR and Recovery Position. Please wear comfortable clothing you can move around in, and, if possible, please let us know ahead of time if there is anything we can do to help support you and your enjoyment of the day.

Administration of Oxygen Therapy The RQF Level 3 Administration of Oxygen qualification is designed to provide individuals with the knowledge and skills required to safely and effectively administer oxygen therapy to patients. Session duration 40 minutes Course delivery details The qualification has 6 assigned guided learning hours (GLH) and 7 hours total qualification time (TQT). GLH indicates the number of contact hours that the learner will undertake being taught or assessed under the immediate guidance or supervision of the trainer/assessor in the classroom. TQT includes GLH but also considers any unsupervised learning or preparation that a learner may undertake independently which could include self-study or the completion of set tasks. The minimum classroom contact time of 6 hours can be delivered in 1 day or can be completed over a maximum of 3 weeks ensuring that each session is a minimum of two hours. The learner ratio for the qualification is a maximum of 12 learners to 1 trainer/assessor. Aim To equip care staff with the knowledge, confidence, and practical skills to respond effectively and safely when a resident experiences a cardiac arrest, ensuring best practice in emergency resuscitation procedures. Learning Objectives By the end of the session, staff will be able to: Recognise the signs of cardiac arrest in a care home setting. Initiate a safe and effective emergency response, including correct positioning of the resident. Perform high-quality CPR on an adult using correct technique and rhythm. Use a defibrillator (AED) confidently and correctly. Identify environmental risks and adapt the environment to enable effective resuscitation. Demonstrate teamwork and role allocation in an emergency. Reflect on the importance of debriefing and support following a resuscitation incident. We reserve the right to turn away individuals too exhausted to focus on the training or staff who turn up late for a course and disturb the flow of the proceedings. Cancellations CH Care Training operates a sliding scale of cancellation; If you cancel more than two weeks before the start date of a course, you can ask for a full refund, to change the names of the delegates being sent along, or to transfer a delegate to another training date. If you give less than two weeks but more than one week's notice of cancellation, 50 percent of the booking can be refunded. If you cancel less than a week from the training delivery date we wont be able to refund. There are no refunds for staff who do not turn up on the day of the training course. If CH Care Training needs to change the date or cancel a course for any reason we will give you the maximum notice we can. In exceptional circumstances we may cancel a course due to extreme weather or circumstances at the training venue. You will be offered a full refund or the opportunity to transfer your booking to an alternative date.
