During the Emergency First Response Instructor course, you will build on your skill as an Emergency Responder and focus on developing your instructional abilities to teach these skills to others. The instructor course provides you with the additional training necessary to teach the Emergency First Response Primary Care (CPR), Secondary Care (First Aid), Care for Children, CPR & AED courses. (Most region-specific workplace courses require additional training.) 

Through a multi-media approach of independent study, classroom sessions and practical teaching assignments, you learn to conduct Emergency First Response courses. The instructor course covers specific goals and performance requirements for the Primary Care, Secondary Care, Care for Children and CPR & AED courses, along with instruction on how to structure learning, the requirements of performance-based training, and your role as the instructor in the learning environment. 

You also learn how to motivate students, evaluate student knowledge, present course content effectively, become proficient in developing students’ hands-on skills practice sessions, and are taught how to present an effective scenario-based learning experience. You’ll also receive information helpful in marketing your EFR business.

Prerequisites:
To enter the Emergency First Response Instructor course, you must be 18 years old.
Have completed CPR and first aid training in the past 24 months or a be a practicing medical professional such as a physician, Emergency Medical Technician, Paramedic or Registered Nurse. (We have courses to get you to the required level if you are not already CPR trained.)

Course duration: 2 days (about 10 hours)


Please note on Successful completion of the course you will need to pay an application fee to Emergency First Response to apply to become an instructor, thus currently is £91


You will also need to pay a yearly fee to Emergency First response every December time currently about £75 Per year.

  • Can I split courses over a few evenings

    We are very flexible, and happy to run course at weekends or over a few weekday evenings. Prior arrangement should be made.

  • Do you run courses during weekdays

    At the moment, this would need to be by prior arrangement and for multiple students. Contact us to discuss your requirements

  • When can I expect my learning materials

    We post out your materials 2 weeks before the course, this should give you 7 - 10 days before the course date. 

  • Can I get a refund

    We will refund you fully 14 days in advance of the course start date (If you have not started any elearning).

    After 14 days, then you can postpone the course up to 90 days after the original course date, but you need to give us at least 24 hours in advance. Refunds can not be given with in 14 days of the course.
