The BS 7671 is the British standard for wiring regulations for low voltage systems in the UK. Although it is not a statutory document, every electrician or domestic installer will have to, by law demonstrate that they comply with a number of legislative documents.

The course then culminates in an open book multiple choice exam which allows 2 minutes to answer each question. Identification of typical Rooflines & Tile configurations for Solar Panel Installations
Identification of possible shading to proposed roofline areas
Gathering details of rafter dimensions and roof pitch angles
Identification of Meters and Earth Bonding Arrangement

Day 2 - (Morning) Carrying out effective site surveying techniques

Task 1 - Group activity using 360 walkthrough - Carry out detailed Surveying for producing heat loss calculations using digital floor plan software and digital form data we take you through the process
Task 2 - Individual activity - Carry out a detailed Survey for producing heat loss calculations & Solar survey from data provided

Set out home task (Optional) - complete a survey on your own home using the provided software, which the learner will then receive feedback on.
