You will be told about the other courses we offer so that you can make an informed choice about further learning. Participants in this course often move on to our Introduction to Paper Craft and Mixed Media Course that will introduce you to the basic materials, tools, equipment and techniques used. Experience has shown us that participants for whom English is not their first language, have found that quilling has helped them improve their understanding and spoken English as there is a lot of repetition of basic terms including numbers, colours and directions. Working with someon for whom English is their first language is also helpful.

Craft4Smiles C.I.C. is crafting community that provides accessible high quality creative papercraft and mixed media online programmes for adults. Our courses are social and interactive whether delivered online or in-person. Our aim is to introduce and build crafting skills and the basic skills needed for success in the workplace and at home, including self-confidence, problem solving, communicating in a group, basic maths and English. We teach over 45 different paper craft and mixed media techniques. Each course is carefully constructed to help you develop your crafting skills and knowledge. 
Crafting and our courses are mindful, taking us away from the day-to-day. Participants have consistently reported improvements in their wellbeing. Anyone who wants to learn new skills can join our programmes. No previous experience of papercrafting or mixed media work is needed. We have delivered courses successfully in Cambridgeshire for 6 1/2 years and have worked with 280 Cambridges residents during this time. 86% of participants state that what we offer has helped to improve their wellbeing. 75% state that it has made a positive difference to their daily lives. 
Please note that the Cademy calenda/description states that this course is over 13 weeks. This is because the 10 weeks of the course are delivered over 13 weeks, during 3 of which, Craft4Smiles is closed for holidays! 


Craft4Smiles C.I.C. 

A standalone 10-week quilling course - 2 hours per week online with daytime and evening options - that will introduce you to the materials, tools, and techniques used in quilling and to Craft4Smiles C.I.C and our tutors.   At the end of each session you will have a lovely quilled item to show family and friends or to display on your shelf!  All materials and equipment needed will be supplied and are yours to keep. This course is helpful for those for whom English is not their native tongue as there is a lot of repetition of basic terms including numbers, colours and directions.
