Westfield London Sunday 19th May 12pm See link below to book!  Childrens Pen Tie Dye T-shirt Upcycling – Good Fest (westfield.com) Workshop Description & Dates Tiptree, Essex Come along to this new family based workshop, adding colour and individuality to a used piece of clothing creating a non- messy Tie Dye effect!  This Workshop is to encourage younger people to get reuse creative on maybe a favourite piece of clothing like a cotton T'shirt, hoody or hat even a plain pillow case or duvet! Instead of throwing out a faded old T'shirt why not bring it back to life and personalise it using dyes, embellishment and a scissor upcycle by a no sew transformation!  This is a 2 hour workshop is suitable for the whole family, kids 7 years old and upwards must be accompanied by an adult.  T'shirts are included if needed! Craft workshop where you have a go at simple glass cutting before layering your chosen colours up with textural details to produce your own Big Bold Hanging. Fused Glass Workshop – Big Bold Hangings I want to share my 15+ years of experience with you. This in person fused glass workshop is held at my Derbyshire studio and gallery space in the middle of Wirksworth near Matlock. About this fused glass workshop For this workshop I’ll give you a base piece of clear glass (precut and with a hole drilled (approx 30x5cm) for you to decorate with stripes of your favourite colours. I prepare lots of transparent glass to give you lots of strips to cut to length yourself. Build a design and layer as you like with extra textural details to really personalise your make. This is a great introduction to glass cutting, anyone can do it with the tips and tricks I’ll show you. The main thing to remember is to have fun! You will play with different types of decorative glass elements and learn a little about how the kiln firing will change them. Simply complete your design during the session and leave it at the studio for me to fire, clean and finish with a lovely ribbon, ready for you to display and enjoy. We will arrange for you to collect your piece after a few weeks or I can post your finished piece at cost. I will talk through all the Health & Safety in the session but I want you to know now, you will be handling precut glass pieces, they have pointy ends but with the right handling, they won’t hurt you. Craft workshop using a variety of glass elements with a focus colour to make your own set of trinket dishes. Fused Glass Workshop – Set of Trinket Dishes I want to share my 15+ years of experience with you. This fused glass workshop is held at my Derbyshire studio and gallery space in the middle of Wirksworth near Matlock. About this fused glass workshop Create a set of 3 mini dishes, a perfect size for a tealight candle or to store your earrings and rings. Make for yourself of to give as gifts. Explore two different design/construction processes and use precut tiles, rods and frit balls to create your designs. Can’t make the workshop? Still want to make your own fused glass dishes, check out my simplified (but still sparkly) make at home kit. Explore a little in this short fused glass taster workshop and learn a little about how the kiln firing to 800 degrees c changes the raw/pointy pieces of glass to a have smooth, shiny finish. Simply complete your designs during the session and leave them with me at the studio for me to fire twice, once flat and once into the bowl mould. We will make arrangements to pick up a few weeks later or I can post your finished piece at cost. Sketchbook club, social and creative meet up.

This one-day workshop will give you a solid overview of many of the key topics relating to gems and gemmology, covering scientific aspects of the subject, the journey of a gemstone and the practical side of gem properties and identification. You will learn to use some of the main gemmologist’s tools and have a chance to examine a wide range of gemstones. This DIY PURSE KIT is ideal for all. From total beginners to confident makers you CAN make your own luxury leather purse at home. 9 leather colours to choose from, personalisation options and 2 hardware colours. These make great gifts. You will learn the basics of leather craft for accessories and be introduced to techniques including application of wax and edge finishing, screw-in hardware, hand stitching on leather and purse construction. This is a perfect introductory course to start your journey into Leather work and accessory making as you will experience the wide variety of tasks involved in the work and create a bag to be proud of. This is the perfect pack to keep you busy crafting at home when you are looking for a new hobby. In order to complete your purse you will need to follow the step-by-step instructions included in the pack. There will be pre-cut leather pieces which require you to finish with a wax included in the pack. You will attach hardware and sew the leather to complete the purse. It is great if you have a small screw driver to hand but not a necessity. Although the pack is pre-prepared and work has been completed for you do not fear as there is still plenty of work and learning for you to do. The purse has a flap and sam browne stud closure. It is a raw edge construction to give a classic look. Completed in this buttery soft vegetable tanned leather results in a supple but structured piece. The bag is unlined but the size ensures the perfect space for all essentials. The dimensions of the purse are H 80mm x W 110mm x D 7mm and it will be the same construction as the bag in the photos featured. There are no additional costs. All tools, leather, hardware and products will be included in the kit.
