About Sue Smith Glass
Originally from North Devon, I have lived and worked in various countries, particularly the Middle East and Mediterranean, and have been both influenced and inspired by the different cultures and architecture from my travels. This combined with my keen interest in the environment, nature and the landscape, has provided me with the possibility of creating unique and individual pieces, whilst helping to preserve the natural beauty that surrounds us.
In 2003 I wanted these bright and cheerful mosaics to withstand all weather conditions so through experimentation I developed this process. My mosaic mirrors, panels and lamps and balls are designed for both indoor and all year garden display. They can be used as wall panels – a feature among climbing plants, placed in a gloomy corner, floated on ponds and lakes, hung from trees or filled with solar lights all bringing a splash of colour to our dormant winter landscapes or creating a hint of “The Secret Garden’ beyond.
I run a number of different courses and workshops every month to teach this uplifting and cheerful skill whether just as a day out with friends, learning a new hobby or wanting to improve your skill.
