Reflexology is an extremely effective form of foot massage based on the principle that 'reflex points' on the hands and feet.
Illnesses, are indicated by tender areas on the appropriate reflex points on the feet, reflecting imbalance of the affected organ or organs.
By applying reflexology foot massage techniques to these points, the body can be prompted to maximise its own great capacity both to heal itself and to prevent illness.
All reflex points corresponds to each organ and structure in the body and are linked to those organs by energy channels, zones or meridians.
When illness or imbalance occurs in the body, the corresponding energy channels become blocked and Reflexology Massage is aimed to destroy these blocks, allowing the energy to flow freely again, so restoring the body's natural balance, and hence - good health.
Reflexologists regard the feet as a mirror of the body, with the right foot representing the right-hand side of the body and the left foot the left-hand side.

To perform a professional Reflexology therapy treatment to an occupational standard within an expected commercial time.

Continual assessment throughout the practical training days and overall course work of 5 months
The course is designed to allow the students flexibility of individual time frames to complete the course meeting their personal restrictions and commitments but will not exceed 12 months.
Practical assessment on course, monthly meet ups and final exam.
Knowledge and understanding assessed with small tests after each unit of which there is 6 units and in final written/ oral exam.
Practical skills assessed in final practical exam, questions and answers to assess knowledge and understanding.
Case study work assessed and checklist from client testimonials assessing practitioner skills.
 
Practical Work & Case Studies
If you spend a minimum of three hours on each lesson; this includes reading the lesson, answering the questions at the end of each lesson and practical work. You can study at your own pace and have no pressure of deadlines. The majority of this work is done in our 5 practical days of hands on learning and teaching on models and case studies, ensuring you receive all the practice, support and help you need to gain your confidence and work to a good commercial BH Holistic's standard.

Case study work will be included in our practical training days at BH Holistics.
I love teaching and helping others learn and bring joy into their work. I will work with each student personally and give the support needed to achieve this qualification in reflexology massage. I would like to work up to a 5 month time schedule to enable you the time to achieve completion of all your case studies, written work, and exam ( Its not a scary exam, I just need to ensure all my students have the knowledge and understanding of Reflexology to work professionally, and fill any gaps if there is any).
I am happy to allow you the time you require if you need less or more time.
I am the friendly supportive teacher on the other end of the phone when needed

Minimum number no refund policy
To ensure we can always pay our creatives a fair fee, we require a minimum number of bookings for each workshop and for this reason bookings are non-refundable. Should we have to cancel due to low numbers, we will offer you the option to swap to an alternative date or workshop, or to request a refund.
We do our very best to avoid cancellations. Since we often get late bookings, we keep our workshops on sale for as long as possible. We realise that some of you travel from afar, so if you book a space and have not yet received an email confirming your workshop is going ahead and need to make plans for your trip, please get in touch before booking any travel or accommodation so we can update you on booking numbers. About this Training Course 
Economic and Financial Analysis of Renewable Energy is a 3-day course that will work through the analysis of different renewable technologies, including LCOE, financing, resource analysis and pricing.
The course will be hands-on where participants take turns sharing the screen and demonstrate how they can construct renewable analysis that incorporates a variety of economic and financing issues. The course places an emphasis on practical techniques with current data. The course covers five different sessions.

TRAINING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of the course, the participants will be able to:
Incorporate storage and battery analysis in the analysis of renewable energy from an energy storage perspective and from an ancillary service point of view.
Learn practical tools to analyse renewable energy including efficient tools to work with wind, hydro and solar data; creating flexible scenario and sensitivity analysis to evaluate resource risk, construction risk, O&M risk and debt structuring; developing techniques to resolve circular references related to funding debt and sculpting debt without copy and paste macros.
Understand the implications of project finance features in the context of renewable energy (sculpting, debt funding, debt size, DSCR, DSRA, debt tenor, re-financing) on costs and equity returns from renewable energy.
Develop efficient ways to quickly compute the levelised electricity cost of different technologies using carrying charge factors and alternative financial models.
Work through resource assessments and compute probability of achieving different levels of production (P90, P75 etc) using hands-on exercises for different types of projects in order to effectively review consulting studies.
Create flexible and transparent financial models of renewable energy from A-Z that incorporate resource risk, financing structure, tax treatments, alternative pricing policies and other factors.
Evaluate the economics of renewable energy (including ancillary services) in the context of merchant markets and review the structure of Corporate Power Purchase Agreement contracts.

After a discussion of electricity markets around the world, the course moves to programming and model structuring, where attendees follow the lead of the instructor in building various analyzes of forward pricing and and valuation issues.
TRAINING OBJECTIVES
Learn practical tools to analyse a host of issues in electricity analysis including efficient tools to work with supply and demand data; creating flexible scenario and sensitivity analysis to evaluate power prices and marginal costs; effectively presenting short-term and long-term supply and curves; development of hydro analysis; Monte Carlo simulation and other issues.
Create demand and supply models of electricity pricing that incorporates changes in fuel prices, new capacity, demand profiles, maintenance outages to measure hourly marginal cost and total generation cost.
Study the structure of market designs around the world and simulate pricing strategies through evaluation of the California crisis and simulation exercises.
Understand the relationship between capacity pricing, reliability, loss of load probability and reserve margins through extending the short-run supply and demand analysis and modelling outage cost with different capacity configurations.
Model the economic value of different types of renewable resources in alternative markets including storage hydro, run-of-river hydro, wind and solar.
Develop efficient ways to quickly compute the levelised electricity cost of different technologies using carrying charge factors and alternative financial models and use levelised cost analysis to develop screening models of optimal resources.
Evaluate long-run marginal cost of electricity cost through simulating the value of different generating resources given load curves and simulate the effects of different capital costs, heat rates and fuel prices on the long-run marginal cost.
Compute the effects of start-up costs, heat rate curves, and transmission constraints on the value of alternative plants and the price of electricity.

Energy industry professionals – This could include roles like energy traders, pricing analysts, forecasters, risk managers at energy companies, utilities, independent power producers, etc. They need to understand electricity pricing and how to optimize revenues.
Energy market regulators – Pricing regulators at entities like FERC, state utility commissions, ISO/RTOs. They need to understand cost analysis and pricing models to set fair rates.
Energy procurement managers – At large C&I customers, municipalities, coops. They are tasked with buying electricity for their organizations at the lowest cost so need pricing analysis skills.

TRAINING METHODS
The VILT will be delivered online in 4 sessions comprising 4 hours per day, with 2 breaks of 10 minutes per day, including time for lectures, discussion, quizzes and short classroom exercises.
Additionally, some self-study will be requested. Participants are invited but not obliged to bring a short presentation (10 mins max) on a practical problem they encountered in their work. This will then be explained and discussed during the VILT. A short test or quiz will be held at the end the course.
TRAINER
Our key course expert provides financial and economic consulting services to a variety of clients, he teaches professional development courses in an assortment of modelling topics (project finance, M&A, and energy). He is passionate about teaching in Africa, South America, Asia and Europe. Many of the unique analytical concepts and modelling techniques he has developed have arisen from discussion with participants in his courses. He has taught customized courses for MIT’s Sloan Business School, Bank Paribas, Shell Oil, Society General, General Electric, HSBC, GDF Suez, Citibank, CIMB, Lind Lakers, Saudi Aramco and many other energy and industrial clients.
His consulting activities include developing complex project finance, corporate and simulation models, providing expert testimony on financial and economic issues before energy regulatory agencies, and advisory services to support merger and acquisition projects.
Our key course expert has written a textbook titled Corporate and Project Finance Modelling, Theory and Practice published by Wiley Finance. The book introduces unique modelling techniques that address many complex issues that are not typically used by even the most experienced financial analysts. For example, it describes how to build user-defined functions to solve circular logic without cumbersome copy and paste macros; how to write function that derives the ratio of EV/EBITDA accounting for asset life, historical growth, taxes, return on investment, and cost of capital; and how to efficiently solve many project finance issues related to debt structuring. He is in the process of writing a second book that describes a series of
valuation and analytical mistakes made in finance. This book uses many case studies from Harvard
Business School that were thought to represent effective business strategies and later turned into valuation nightmares.
Over the course of his career our key course expert has been involved in formulating
significant government policy related to electricity deregulation; he has prepared models and analyses for many clients around the world; he has evaluated energy purchasing decisions for many corporations; and, he has provided advice on corporate strategy. His projects include development of a biomass plant, analysis and advisory work for purchase of electricity generation, distribution and transmission assets by the City of Chicago, formulation of rate policy for major metro systems and street lighting networks, advocacy testimony on behalf of low income consumers, risk analysis for toll roads, and evaluation of solar and wind projects. He has constructed many advisory analyses for project finance and merger and acquisition transactions.
Lastly, our key course expert was formerly Vice President at the First National Bank of Chicago where he directed analysis of energy loans and also created financial modelling techniques used in advisory projects. He received an MBA specializing in econometrics (with honours) from the University of Chicago and a BSc in Finance from the University of Illinois (with highest university honours).

On this 3.5 hour workshop, artist Mark Kirkham - known locally as the Edinburgh Sketcher - will show you how to capture what you see quickly and lift your sketches off the page using a little watercolour, and share why sketchbook journalling has become such an important part of his day-to-day life.
You will explore how words can be used as decoration, and add depth to your drawing. 
Sketching items from still life, you will learn how to choose what to include; and how to link your sketches together using colour and composition. 
Starting with a new sketchbook, Mark will help you overcome any fears you have of facing the blank page, and build your confidence with mark making. 
Using the tips and techniques you learn on the day, you will leave ready to continue your sketchbook journalling at home.
This workshop will be held indoors in our welcoming and supportive environment in Edinburgh's City Centre New Town.

The Arienas Collective workshops, courses and events are run from a welcoming and supportive environment within a Georgian mews home in Edinburgh’s City Centre New Town. We invite you to join us, leave any day-to-day worries behind and immerse yourself in being creative.
Spaces on our workshops and courses are limited so that our creative team of artists and makers can offer you the hands-on help and support you need to make the most of your time with us. 
Our taster and introductory workshops focus on teaching creative skills and methods you can continue practising at home, using affordable materials and equipment. Where more expensive equipment is required we will mention this in the workshop description.
All the equipment and materials you need are included in the price, unless stated otherwise. 
Light refreshments from local suppliers are provided. On full day workshops you are welcome to bring your own lunch to eat inside or out. There is also a wide range of independent sit-in or takeaway delis, cafés, and restaurants, plus a range of supermarkets all within a 5-10 minute walk.
Accessibility
The workshop space is on the first-floor of our Georgian mews home and unfortunately we do not have lift access. Blue badge holders can park outside our front door on the single yellow line by arrangement.
Allergies
The workshop space is in our open plan living space and is not nut free. Please let us know about any skin or food allergies before booking. We offer a dairy-free milk and gluten free snack alternative.
Minimum number no refund policy
To ensure we can always pay our creatives a fair fee, we require a minimum number of bookings for each workshop and for this reason bookings are non-refundable. Should we have to cancel due to low numbers, we will offer you the option to swap to an alternative date or workshop, or to request a refund.
We do our very best to avoid cancellations. Since we often get late bookings, we keep our workshops on sale for as long as possible. We realise that some of you travel from afar, so if you book a space and have not yet received an email confirming your workshop is going ahead and need to make plans for your trip, please get in touch before booking any travel or accommodation so we can update you on booking numbers. Or check in before booking.
Private workshop bookings
Most of our workshops are also available to book for: private get-togethers with family and friends; themed wedding and birthday celebrations; corporate team building and well-being purposes; and in-store retail events for your customers. If you’d like to know more please Email Lynn.

Welcome! And thank you for being curious about The Goddess Hour. If you are searching for connection, this could be for you. Each event is different and is filled with Love and Laughter.
I am given a theme for the evening, usually on the day of the event itself and this then becomes our focus for the session, as we follow the guidance and teachings that arise through spoken word, meditation and sharing.
They are beautiful spontaneous affairs that are always different and sometimes surprising! Most importantly they foster a great sense of connection within and without and everyone feels empowered and inspired through attending.
I was guided by the great Goddess Isis to run the first of these events back in May of 2023 and they have been taking place ever since, on the last Wednesday of the month.
They really are special events. Come to one or come to many! There are no rules. If you would welcome the opportunity to connect with other like-minded women, then maybe this is for you...

The Academy provides a list of Private and NHS Dental Surgeries, who are regularly contacting us when looking for more Trainee Dental Nurses, so you can contact them directly as a registered student at the Academy. This is a paid job, unless you would like to work voluntary for personal reasons. We also provide a reference letter to the employee in case you need it.

To be eligible to sit your first exam, you have to complete your electronic Record of Experience (eROE). The eROE has to be submitted to your tutor by 31st Jan for March exam, and 31st August for November exam.
