The Designated Safeguarding Lead Advanced Course is an expert-led update and refresher course for school and college DSLs and their Deputies. It is an extensive, authoritative and highly rated, full-day training course that ensures DSL/DDSLs have the most comprehensive, effective and up-to-date knowledge and strategies in place to lead the safeguarding provision in their setting.

The New to the Role of Designated Safeguarding Lead Course is an expert-led course for those new to the role of school / college DSLs and or Deputy DSL.

A relaxed group for children/young people not accessing full-time education. We tailor the group based on individuals' needs and interests

We deliver CSCS approved courses from the Base Business Space in Hull every Monday and Friday. Other days available on request! We also have access to a onsite CITB Test Centre! We have been supporting clients gain a CSCS Labourers and Skilled cards for over 10 years!

Includes Us 2 Youth Club – Wednesdays (Term Time) We’re excited to welcome young people with SEND to our weekly Youth Club, held every Wednesday during term time from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Our sessions are designed to be fun, inclusive, and supportive – a great place to build friendships, grow confidence, and enjoy a range of engaging activities in a safe environment. As a charity, we ask for a £2 contribution per session to help towards running costs. However, we understand that financial difficulties can happen, and we would never want this to stop a young person from attending. If this is a concern, please feel free to speak to us confidentially – we’re here to help. **Please note: Due to staff shortages, there will be no Youth Club session on Wednesday 25th June. ** Sessions will continue as normal before and after this date. We can’t wait to see you there!

Thursday 3 July,10am - 12.30pm    Are you interested in developing programmes and exhibits with LGBTQ+ content for children and families?    About this training    During this training session, we will address the challenges museum staff and volunteers face when creating LGBTQ+ content for children and families. Alongside this we will discuss strategies for advocating for this content and explore resources for planning and implementation.    This webinar will be led by Margaret Middleton, a freelance exhibit designer and museum consultant based in Manchester. Their background is in children's museums and they have written and consulted widely on creating LGBTQ+ museum content for families, especially those with children aged 10 and under.    Margaret will be joined by Dylan Saul, Family Programmes Facilitator and Moa Strand, Families and Young People Programmes Manager at Royal Museums Greenwich and Daniel Jessop, Learning and Community Engagement Officer at Novium Museum, who will talk about their LGBTQ+ work for children and families.     The session will help you to:  Understand the importance of this work, Think critically about the challenges you may face undertaking this work, Develop ways to advocate for this work, Gain inspiration from case studies to take your own work forward.   Take a look at the full schedule.    This training event will be delivered virtually on Zoom over one half-day session (two hours and 30 minutes with a short break).     Who should attend?  This training is aimed at staff and volunteers who work in museums, art galleries and heritage sites and are interested in developing programmes and exhibits with LGBTQ+ content for children and families.
