Join me in the studio for a Quilting Confidence Sampler class. &nbsp;This class is held over three days.Do you enjoy piecing your quilt and then have a feeling of dread when it comes to quilting. &nbsp;If so, this class is perfect for you. &nbsp;It will help to give &nbsp;you ideas for quilting,&nbsp;In this class we create nine 16 patch blocks. &nbsp;Each one of these will be quilted in a different design using a walking foot and straight line quilting. We will the join the blocks and create a quilt using a quilt as you go method. &nbsp;You can create your quilt with co-ordinated fabrics or else you can go for a scrappy quilt. &nbsp;If you prefer, materials can be provided.

It&rsquo;s also a great size for practicing quilting. &nbsp;You could also use the star blocks to create matching table mats.You will end up with a stunning centrepiece for your table, perfect for those special occasions.

Some of the items we aim to make are- Coat hooks, toasting folks, fire pokers, chestnut roasters, door knockers, curtain poles are just a few to mention and this is discussed at the time of booking. Whilst experiencing an exciting ancient tradition you will have loads of fun and most importantly a masterpiece made by yourself to proudly take home. On this full day course you will have the opportunity to make a couple of pieces of jewellery from silver clay. Silver clay is relatively new to the world of jewellery making, introduced by Mitsubishi in the early 90's. It is made from tiny particles of reclaimed and recycled silver which are mixed with a non toxic organic binder. The clay can be rolled, textured, moulded and carved. During firing, the binder burns away and the silver particles sinter so you are left with a beautiful piece of solid silver.
There are so many possibilities to create some beautiful jewellery. In your full day class you will learn some of the basic techniques needed to create silver clay jewellery and shown how to use the required tools in the workshop.
- Designed for total beginners and people looking to improve - Dawn will meet you at your level and help you progress. 
- Small class numbers so you get plenty of tutor time (5 people max). 
- The class starts at 10am and ends 4.30pm. 
- Most people make a pair of earrings and a pendant.

- The Jewellery Business is located in Sheffield City Centre and is a fully equipped jewellery studio. 
The class fees includes materials (10g silver clay, a chain for a pendant and some ear wires for earrings), if you wish to make more on the day you can purchase extras in the class.

On this full day course you will have the opportunity to make a couple of pieces of jewellery from silver clay. Silver clay is relatively new to the world of jewellery making, introduced by Mitsubishi in the early 90's. It is made from tiny particles of reclaimed and recycled silver which are mixed with a non toxic organic binder. The clay can be rolled, textured, moulded and carved. During firing, the binder burns away and the silver particles sinter so you are left with a beautiful piece of solid silver.
There are so many possibilities to create some beautiful jewellery. In your full day class you will learn some of the basic techniques needed to create silver clay jewellery and shown how to use the required tools in the workshop.
- Designed for total beginners and people looking to improve - Dawn will meet you at your level and help you progress. 
- Small class numbers so you get plenty of tutor time (5 people max). 
- The class starts at 10am and ends 4.30pm. 
- Most people make a pair of earrings and a pendant.

- The Jewellery Business is located in Sheffield City Centre and is a fully equipped jewellery studio. 
The class fees includes materials (10g silver clay, a chain for a pendant and some ear wires for earrings), if you wish to make more on the day you can purchase extras in the class.

Classes do not have a fixed set of skills, we will teach you what you need to learn to create your design &ndash; so the skills will be tailored for you on an individual basis. If you don&rsquo;t have a design in mind Emmie will help you to create something and learn the basics, so don't worry about ideas if you don't have any yet.
6 sessions cost &pound;120 plus the cost of your metal - the metal costs are to be paid on the day of your class. The cost of the metal depends on your designs and will probably be much less than you expect. At the end of the sessions you can expect to leave with a couple of pieces of silver jewellery &ndash; unique to you!
