How do I attend?

EITHER -
CLASSROOM OPTION - Attend one of our scheduled classroom locations, completing your Introduction to Phlebotomy Course over 2 days. You will also complete your Advanced Training at the end of the first day and your Competency Training at the end of the second day.

Our Introduction to Phlebotomy and Advanced Phlebotomy Training Kits are supplied at no charge when booking our virtual classroom training option.
If you would like to add one or both of these kits to your classroom training option then these are available to add at time of booking. Our comprehensive training kits each mirror the same equipment and supplies used in the classroom and both include detailed video tutorials, allowing you to continue to practice and "hone" your skills after you have completed your practical training.

OR -

VIRTUAL CLASSROOM OPTION- Complete your theory training online at home or work, then join us for a one day Zoom session to complete your Introduction to Phlebotomy virtual classroom training, followed by your Advanced Training in the evening of the same day. You have the option to add a classroom-based competency session, awarding a CPD Accredited Geopace Certificate of Competency, at time of booking.

Our Virtual Classroom option includes two very comprehensive training kits - one for your introductory course and one for your advanced course. Kits are included at no charge (normally £79.95 each) and are yours to keep and to continue to practice with after you have finished your courses. The equipment and supplies included in your kits are the same as those used if you choose the classroom option.

Our Route to Competency Masterclass - Live Blood Sessions can only be completed in a classroom environment. This is included when you book a classroom option. When booking the virtual classroom option you can choose to add this at time of booking. You will receive a voucher code to enable you to book onto any upcoming dates or locations. For most of our two day course we run our competency training at the end of the second day and therefore you should be able to complete your full training programme with us over two days.

Dear all, 

I invite you to join me on Saturday to immerse ourselves into the powerful energies coming through the Lion's Gate under the Full Moon in Aquarius, and embark on a journey of transmutation and alchemy, leading to the retrieval and expansion of our creative powers.

Many of us have seen their creativity being stifled since a young age, having to fit the rules and confines of a wounded, fear based society, and this has affected in many cases our paths, our confidence and our manifestation skills.

We have assumed self-sabotaging patterns and sent away creative, playful and wild parts of ourselves, in order to navigate this heavy version of the earthly lives.

The Goddess is here for us while we heal all this and reintegrate all those estranged parts. Our souls are calling us to step into our full power and open up our full potential, in a way that can't be ignored anymore.

What better time to do this than under the sign of the Lion, which holds the codes of our unthetered Selves, of our innocence, our pure creativity, courage and confidence?

What better time than when the Moon is fully illuminated by the Sun under the sign of the Aquarius, the archetype the outcast, the maverick, the revolutionary, the weaver of comunities, the alchemical water bearer?

And what better time than the time when we are being called, when our senses are wide open, and when we feel the turning of the wheel with every fiber in our body?

Each step that we take is bringing us further on the path to ourselves, and each step that we are taking together is creating a huge leap for humanity, so I'm really looking forward to this and I hope that you can join me.

For those who are familiar with the IEC, I'd like to say that the massive downloads that led to its creation have occured during the Lion's Gate 8 years ago (2017), with it's first “incarnation” being materialised on the 17.08.2017.

We'll be welcoming in our guides, specifically the consciousness of our Sun, our Moon and of the Sirius Star. 

The Goddess Hathor / Venus has been working with me in a very applied way in the past weeks in preparation of welcoming the energies coming through the Lions Gate, and this workshop is my way of sharing these experiences and expanding them together with those who will feel called to join me.

We'll start with a short talk, introducing our guides and the energies that we are going to work with and we'll follow up with a healing journey which will include short Light Langugage transmissions, to help us integrate and ground the energies that we'll be accessing.

During the journey, I will be transfering to the participants the Angelic Reiki energy from the healing pod which I've opened in advance of the workshop. This will also be embeded in the video recording of the session.

As always, our work will be supported by the IEC (Interdimensional Energy Converter), which is a high vibration multidimensional device, working in the quantum field and bridging between spirituality and science, acting as a Gate of Consciousness, an experimental and experiential technology meant to increase the flow of Light in the heavier, denser dimensions.

The session will be held on Zoom, it will start at 4pm BST (UK Time) on Saturday, 09.08.2025 and it will last for about 1.5 h.

PART 1 - THEORY (ONLINE)

M01 - Basic Phlebotomy - revision:
Recap of basic phlebotomy theory and practice - precursor to
the advanced course.
M02 - Aspirated and Vacuated Systems:
Open systems (Syringe & Needle), closed systems (Vacutainer & Monovette), Alternative closed systems, Using Monovette - aspiration and evacuated techniques, monovette adapter systems.
M03 - Specialised and Advanced Phlebotomy Equipment:
The centrifuge - overview. Safe operation and use. Managing a centrifuge breakage or spillage.
Equipment and practices in unusual situations.
Patients with special needs and requiring specific attention.
Equipment preparation for blood samples that are collected at
0 degrees, 37 degrees C and other non-standard conditions.
A look at advances in technology and how to use the latest devices.
M04 - Point of Care Testing:
What is POC Testing? Advantages, Disadvantages and Clinical
Outcomes. Comparison of POC with lab testing. 10 common POC tests. Roles for phlebotomists performing POC Tests.
M05 - Neonates and Children:
Sample collection from new-born to pre-adult. A detailed overview of legal principles of law including child consent and child protection for phlebotomists. Neonatal and child blood collection equipment.
A comprehensive look at heel and finger-prick procedures including
microtainers, lancets and capillary tube collection. Detailed heel prick procedure. Paediatric finger prick collection. The life-threatening hazard of over-collecting. Communication techniques in differing age bands.
Consent and the law. Basic principles of lawful consent for neonates and paediatric patients. Child protection.
Detailed analysis of neonatal and paediatric blood collection including Guthrie card collection. Neonatal bottles - colours and tests. Paediatric blood gases collection.
Butterfly needles - when to use. Blood tests during pregnancy. Neonatal blood screening - nine conditions covered. Bilirubin in neonates.
M06 - Geriatric Patients:
The challenges of phlebotomy in older people. Understanding skin changes and venepuncture implications. A profile of common
geriatric blood tests. Age related problems. Procedural precautions.
M07 - Special Procedures:
Drawing blood from back of hand. Drawing blood from lower limb veins. Managing the unwilling or difficult patient. Managing the psychiatric patient. Managing the isolated patient. Non-routine blood tests. Managing the latex allergy patient (type 1 and type 4 reactions). Latex indicators. Sample handling - non-routine procedures. Drug trials and research projects.
M08 - Special Tests and Sample Handling Procedures:
A look at sample collection at specific times of day and night,
samples that are protected from light, collected on ice and
collected at body temperature. Procedures for each group - collection notes, analytic time, optimal collection time and notes for each group.
M09 - Advanced Phlebotomy Tasks:
Additional procedures. Maintaining POC equipment. Stock control and stock rotation. Quality control. Data entry. Product evaluation. Training and competency evaluation.
M10 - Alternative Environments:
A step-by-step look at non-clinical phlebotomy environments including private testing, DEFRA, forensic and police, cord blood collection, DNA analysis, veterinary services, overseas and volunteering.

PART 2 (CLASSROOM)
MORNING , AFTERNOON OR EVENING SESSION:

1 - Welcome, introductions and overview:
- Classroom - health & safety briefing, schedule overview.
- Virtual Classroom - audio/visual checks and registration. Unpacking and overview of your training kit.
2 - Syringe and Needle (open system): Correct use and applications.
3 - Monovette (open and closed systems):
Using the Monovette system in aspiration mode - correct use and applications.
Using the Monovette system in evacuated mode - correct use and applications.
4 - IR Vein Detector:
Demonstration of the IR vein detector for assisting in detection of difficult veins.
5 - Veins in back of hand:
Detecting suitable veins in the back of the hand.
6 - POC testing:
Point of Care Testing - use of glucose meter to demonstrate a typical POC test procedure. Correct use and overview of other POC test devices.
7 - Using lancets (finger collection)
We look at the correct use of lancets for POC testing and whole blood micro-collection.
8 - Using lancets (heel collection)
We look at the correct use of lancets for neonatal blood spot tests (Guthrie Test).
9 - Capillary collection
Using glass capillary tubes for micro-collection. Correct use and handling.
10 - Microtube collection
Correct use of BD Microtainers (and similar micro-collection bottles) - collection and handling.

This course is supported with downloadable resources and may include extra video segments to reinforce your practical training.
