The "An Understanding of Seizure First Aid and Simulated Administration of Buccal Midazolam" course is designed to provide participants with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills related to assisting individuals experiencing seizures and administering buccal midazolam in a simulated environment. This non-regulated qualification course is ideal for caregivers, family members, educators, and individuals who want to be prepared to respond effectively to seizures and provide appropriate first aid.

Course Content:
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
1. Explain the features of an Emergency Seizure Management Plan
2. List the steps to take when supporting someone who is having a seizure
3. Demonstrate in simulation how to administer pre-filled Buccal Midazolam

Course Objectives:
Comprehend Seizure First Aid: Develop a clear understanding of different types of seizures and the appropriate first aid measures to ensure the safety and well-being of individuals experiencing seizures.
Simulate Buccal Midazolam Administration: Practice the simulated administration of buccal midazolam, a rescue medication for seizure management, to gain familiarity with the technique and procedures.
Provide Support and Comfort: Learn how to provide emotional support and comfort to individuals with seizures and their families during and after a seizure episode.
Enhance Communication Skills: Develop effective communication skills to inform individuals, caregivers, and healthcare professionals about seizure first aid measures and buccal midazolam administration.
