(6-7yrs) The syllabus is based on the ISTD grade however we do also incorporate an imaginative playful approach to the work to keep the Ballet fun. All technique can be boring and we don't want that! TRIAL BOOKINGS: Of course you are welcome to watch the trial class but following the trial, WhizzDancers are expected to be independent in the room. (8-10yrs) Tap uses a different skill set to Ballet and Jazz as the emphasise is on creating rhythm and sound using footwork. Due to the nature of Tap, the physicality of the work is mainly focused on the legs, hips, knees and ankles and of course those tapping feet! Tap teaches a great sense of rhythm, timing and musical awareness. (9-10yrs) Ballet develops posture, strength, musicality and grace. Each dancer is unique and each body is unique and we teach the children to work within ones own body. Our Ballet classes include some set structured technical work from the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance syllabus, along with some creative movement. All children have the opportunity to take ISTD Ballet exams when they are ready to be entered. BalletDots is for pre-schoolers (3yrs+). What is Reggaeton? It is a blend of Jamaican music with Dancehall & Hip Hop, and the lyrics are mainly in Spanish. Reggaeton became popular in the early 90s within the Latin American you and spread to North America, Europe & Asia. The dancing is very engaging, smooth and versatile. You will experience a real workout, especially in your hips, shoulders and legs toning, it is the real deal!

Do you have a little one that loves dancing, singing & acting? Why not book them a place at one of our BP Theatre Camps this holiday?   Struggling to think of ways to keep the kids entertained? BP to the rescue! Your children will learn new skills, be engaged, make new friends and most importantly….have BAGS OF FUN!   Our camp offers the children a chance to build their confidence in a friendly environment. We encourage kids to be their best not the best. How does the day run? We start the day with our welcome talk & ice breaker games – this is a great way for the children to ease into the day and get to know each other. Once we have made some new friends we move onto livening up our bodies with dance, after this energetic session we take a well deserved morning break. Singing is up next followed by lunch – a much needed chance to refuel after a very busy morning. The afternoon then consists of drama tasks, arts & crafts, afternoon break and plenty of games.   Each session (dance, singing & drama) consist of a warm up, technique and working towards a final piece that we complete by the end of the day.   Our aim is for each child to leave daily with the biggest smile on their face and feeling proud of what they’ve achieved.
