We offer a range of workshops and activities such as, what to expect when expecting parenting advice supporting early development, potty training & sleep workshops a variety of evidence based parenting programs such as Triple P and Circle of Security P group story & rhyme time plus a range of services that can be tailored to suit individual need We have successfully, and continue to, apply for grant funding to offer a range of community based projects with the aim to embed community cohesion. Who can access our services? We reach families in a variety of ways such as direct work with parents/carers on a fee-paying basis corporate organisations can buy in live parenting workshops that can be delivered to employees as part of a well-being strategy early years settings to support their learning environment and engagement with parents

ABOUT US Allegro School of Gymnastics was founded in 2015 after huge demand from parents that were taught by our Head Coach Sam in local schools. It was felt that there was a need for a local gymnastics club with one strong rule in mind – to teach children quality gymnastics skills and technique, with fun and play a close second. Our main club is now based at Newstead Woods Sports Centre but due to huge popularity and success, we now have a second, permanent location at Bromley Football Club. Our previous centres at Ravens Wood and Darrick Wood have enabled us to grow and expand, and we now provide Squad, Recreational and Pre school classes six days a week. Newstead and Bromley both house all four full-sized Olympic pieces including bars and beam and our Pre School unit provides smaller pieces alongside the full size equipment to help build confidence in out younger gymnasts. As parents ourselves with over 20 years of parenting experience and coaches that are ex high level gymnasts, we feel that we can understand and relate to our gymnasts individual needs as children in a much more supportive and positive way whilst having the technical knowledge to ensure that all skills are taught safely and progressively. We understand that most children are desperate to do a backflip and a somersault, but we teach the children to understand that the basic skills need to be learnt properly first and then when they are all put together the children are rewarded with the skills they have been so eager to perform.

Excel Women’s Centre CIC is an organisation based in Barking & Dagenham and surrounding boroughs which supports women, families, young people, carers and individuals with all issues affecting their quality of life and wellbeing. We work mainly in Barking & Dagenham, and now across a lot of East London, offering a range of dedicated services aimed to support our service users, engage and enable the community. Thus, we strive to empower individuals of all ages and ethnicities to become valued members of society. About Us Excel Women’s Centre, CIC, is community hub that has an open door policy and provides services to all women, children and families residing in the London borough of Barking & Dagenham and surrounding boroughs. The centre offer help to vulnerable women and their families to fight discrimination demand their right and increase their self-esteem and confidence within our multicultural society. Empowerment is the key focus of the organization throughout. With empowerment, more services will be provided and service users will gain the skills and encouragement they need to change their lives. By developing as an organization, service users will be able to see a range of activities materialise in the area of mentoring programs, youth projects, IT clubs, Job clubs, Parenting classes for new mothers, healthy eating sessions and many more specifically suggested by the service users. Excel Women’s centre would like all our services users of the organisation to be able to integrate into Barking and Dagenham borough as well as all around London and have the same accessibility to services that everyone else has in London. By working in partnership with service providers, voluntary and community groups, Excel Women’s Group will lead the way, by illustrating that marginalized communities can integrate into society and become part of the community at large. The group will strive to break down barriers in the area of language by holding English Language Classes and breakdown social exclusion by involving community members in various training schemes and volunteering projects which can help their future ambitions. Why EY Matters? My love affair with the Early Years sector began back in 2011 when I started working with Laura Henry, and through my work with her I started to connect with other Early Years Professionals. During 2013, I supported Laura with her vision of creating an organisation for the Trainers and Consultants of the sector, by organising the first meetings, the first survey and collating the results. Out of this vision NEyTCO was born. Launched in 2014 at the House of Commons, NEYTCO - National Early Years Trainers and Consultants - brought together experts in the sector to offer mutual support for trainers and consultants and a one-stop-shop for early years settings, local authorities, schools and others. In 2017, at the invitation of the CEO, Catriona Nason, I started working closely with NEyTCO, looking at the member experience, finding ways to improve the membership offering and also promoting the members and the organisation, but sadly in the current climate, NEyTCO was unable to survive and closed in October 2018. After receiving the devastating news that NEyTCO was unable to continue trading, I thought long and hard about what this would mean for the sector and then came up with the idea that the new Twitter Chat (#EYMatters) I had introduced a few weeks earlier in September could perhaps be utilised in some way to support Early Years Professionals to continue connecting, communicating and collaborating. With this in mind, I formed a new company EY Matters Ltd with the sole purpose of providing the platform to support the sense of community that has been building over the past few months between the NEyTCO Members and other individuals, companies and areas within the sector. I should stress, this is a separate venture from my main business, Virtual Support UK Ltd, where I still provide support and administration services to the sector on a Pay-per-Minute basis!
