About this Training Course This 3 full-day course provides a sound review of Pipeline Integrity Management strategies, in compliance with regulatory requirements, including self-assessment. The course is highly interactive and takes the form of lectures and case studies. On completion of the course, the participants will have a solid understanding of the procedures, strengths, limitations, and applicability of the main issues that comprise a Pipeline Integrity Management Program. The course incorporates API 1160 / 1173 and ASME B31.8S, and explains in detail the pipeline integrity requirements described in these standards. This course can also be offered through Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT) format. Training Objectives Objectives of this course: Explore the latest techniques used to develop a comprehensive integrity management program covering both pipelines and their associated facilities Determine the necessary elements of such a program described in detail with examples of typical program content including an overarching view of where detailed risk analysis and defect assessment fits in the program Understand the scopes and contents of pipeline integrity standards i.e. API 1160 / 1173 and ASME B31.8S On completion of this course, the participants will be able to understand: Codes used in developing Integrity Management Plans, API 1160 / 1173 and ASME B31.8S, others The elements of an Integrity Management Plan Threat assessment Critical aspects of risk assessment Prevention and mitigation measures Characteristics and limitations of different inspection methods A risk-based approach to maintenance Target Audience The course is intended for supervisors, engineers and technicians responsible for ensuring the adequate protection of pipeline assets. In addition, maintenance planners, regulators and service providers to the pipeline industry will also benefit from attending this course. Course Level Basic or Foundation Trainer Your expert course leader is a Ph.D. Metallurgical Engineer with advanced expertise in asset integrity management of oil & gas production facilities, corrosion control, materials selection, chemical treatments, pipeline pigging, inspections, fitness-for-service evaluations, failure analysis and related consulting. He has 40 years of experience working for BP in Asia and South America, Amoco in the US, Intertek, and four years with Applus-Velosi in Southeast Asia. Practical Work Experience: AIM consultant with focus on Southeast Asia operations and clients Direct technical interface with clients on Velosi services Technical consultant for ongoing regional contracts and lead roles as auditor, instructor or facilitator Main clients have included the following organisations: BP and Vico Indonesia, Pertamina Offshore Northwest Java and West Madura Offshore (Indonesia), NCSP (Vietnam), ADCO-OPCO (Abu Dhabi), Thang Long (Vietnam), Exxon-Mobil (Malaysia) and Mubadala Petroleum (Indonesia). Aim To equip care staff with the knowledge, confidence, and practical skills to respond effectively and safely when a resident experiences a cardiac arrest, ensuring best practice in emergency resuscitation procedures. Learning Objectives By the end of the session, staff will be able to: Recognise the signs of cardiac arrest in a care home setting. Initiate a safe and effective emergency response, including correct positioning of the resident. Perform high-quality CPR on an adult using correct technique and rhythm. Use a defibrillator (AED) confidently and correctly. Identify environmental risks and adapt the environment to enable effective resuscitation. Demonstrate teamwork and role allocation in an emergency. Reflect on the importance of debriefing and support following a resuscitation incident. We reserve the right to turn away individuals too exhausted to focus on the training or staff who turn up late for a course and disturb the flow of the proceedings. Cancellations CH Care Training operates a sliding scale of cancellation; If you cancel more than two weeks before the start date of a course, you can ask for a full refund, to change the names of the delegates being sent along, or to transfer a delegate to another training date. If you give less than two weeks but more than one week's notice of cancellation, 50 percent of the booking can be refunded. If you cancel less than a week from the training delivery date we wont be able to refund. There are no refunds for staff who do not turn up on the day of the training course. If CH Care Training needs to change the date or cancel a course for any reason we will give you the maximum notice we can. In exceptional circumstances we may cancel a course due to extreme weather or circumstances at the training venue. You will be offered a full refund or the opportunity to transfer your booking to an alternative date. SQA Level 6 Award in Depilation provides knowledge and practical competence in health & safety within the salon and waxing and is regulated by SQA. The strategy for delivery of this unit is based upon a combination of online theory, and autonomous learning, workshops and practical sessions. This is delivered over 6 sessions. The final stage is an assessment which is submitted to SQA and finally your certificate will be issued. In this unit you will develop the skills required to remove hair from various areas on the face and body. You will gain knowledge of skin and hair structure, hair growth, causes of excess hair growth, hair types, contra-indications, special care conditions and contra-actions. Your practical skills will be developed by consulting with clients to develop treatment plans then preparing for and performing depilation treatments You will give clients homecare and aftercare advice and evaluate the effectiveness of the treatment in relation to technique and product selection. You will demonstrate knowledge of and adherence to relevant health and safety procedures; appearance which reflects organisational and industry standards and effective communication and consultation techniques. You will be assessed by answering structured questions in closed-book conditions to demonstrate your understanding of essential knowledge relating to depilation and will be observed carrying out depilation treatments on a minimum of six areas of the face and body on four different clients. Two of the performances must demonstrate multiple treatment areas. Treatment areas must include Face: upper lip and eyebrow; Body: underarms and bikini; Limbs: half leg and full leg. An assessor observation checklist must be used to provide evidence of performance supported by an accurately completed client consultation record completed by the learner. Practical performance must be carried out in a commercially acceptable time. Communication skills are not formally assessed however you will be expected to present oral and written communication to an acceptable professional standard. Oral communication skills will be developed in practical work with clients when interaction must be professional, sensitive and empathic. Communicating appropriate information to clients, explaining and reassuring during treatment sessions and giving aftercare advice and homecare advice will be an essential aspect of competence. You should be fully aware of a range of active listening techniques in order to relate and respond to others in the most appropriate and effective way, adapting language, register and style to suit their purpose and clientele. In addition to the specific vocational skills developed and assessed you will have the opportunity to develop generic skills which will enhance their employability skills profile, eg customer care skills, communication skills, time management. The SQA Level 6 Depliation is a practical and knowledge based qualification. It is aimed at equipping therapists with skills required for work in salons, destination/day spas and cruise ships.
