EduSport (Education through Sport) is a community driven NGO founded in 1999 in response to identified gaps in opportunities for communities to participate in sport and for youth empowerment. Edusport’s aim is integrating Sport into the Development process through its programmes. It combines sports and life skills training especially to socio-economically under served and at risk young people. Edusport is found in 9 of 10 provinces of Zambia. it is currently operating in over 84 under served communities in 21 districts around Zambia. The organisation targets youths, trains them to become peer leaders, local role models and community mobilizers to drive change and spread the message of hope.

Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) is an evidence-based treatment approach that is widely recommended for problems such as low mood/depression, anxiety, worry and panic, phobias, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), bulimia and more. However access to such resources is often limited, and even with major investment in service redesign to increase access to psychological therapies, there remains a pressure on services to offer effective treatments to larger numbers of people. CBT can be offered in different ways including face to face delivery by an expert, however in many settings this is associated with waiting lists and high service delivery costs. National treatment guidelines recommend additional ways of delivering the CBT model. These include:

We can't change a young person’s past, but we can change the consequences this has on their future. Ubuntu Scotland has identified that children, particularly from disadvantaged backgrounds, are not given the right attention and support in the academic system. Often the specific difficulties they face are ignored as opposed to tackled. We want to see every child leaving school with a set of basic life skills regardless of background, along with the confidence and determination to follow whatever further educational or career path they desire.

Confidance Performing Arts is an established and exciting school for dance, acro and theatre arts in Chryston, Glasgow. Our aim is to create a fun, yet disciplined environment in which our students can develop skills in dance,acro and musical theatre. Our vision is to offer the highest standard of training possible to children from as young as 2 and half years old to 18. Our team of wonderful teachers will endeavour to use their combined experience, both as teachers and industry professionals, to help produce fun, progressive and inspiring lessons where the children will learn not just performing arts but life skills as well. All of our teachers are fully qualified and have worked in the entertainment arena as professionals in dance, choreography, musical theatre, Acro, film and TV. We offer classes in Tap, Ballet, Modern Jazz, Theatre Craft, Commercial, Acro, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Boys Street Dance, Competative classes and Private lessons. We follow the IDTA, RAD and ACROBATIC ARTS syllabus. We pride ourselves in having a 100% pass rate for our IDTA and RAD examinations, with a large majority passing with Distinction/Honours Confidance instructs and inspires individuals to excel in dance, singing and acting. Our focus is on building strong confident and technical all-round performers, while encouraging a positive and comfortable atmosphere in class as well as giving our students opportunities to gain experience in shows, competitions master classes and events with high production values.

STREETWORK’S MISSION STREETWORK BELIEVES THAT VULNERABLE YOUNG PEOPLE SHOULD HAVE THE SAME OPPORTUNITIES AS THEIR PEERS - TO GROW AND ACHIEVE THEIR DREAMS AND, TO DEVELOP AS A PERSON WITH HIGH SELF-ESTEEM Streetwork provides one-on-one mentoring to at-risk 11-18-year-olds, so that they are supported to break their cycle of destructive influences and behaviours, and turn their lives around. Our goals-based mentoring program and the support we receive from our dedicated supporters and volunteers are critical to our success. Streetwork’s Youth Case Management Early intervention and prevention, goal setting and, mentoring are StreetWork’s key focus areas. However, in order for us to successfully address the damaging influences and risk-taking behaviors impacting our young people’s safety, we also work with external, specialist youth services. These services include psychologists specialising in youth mental health and homeless shelters, purpose-built to provide a safe haven from domestic violence. Streetwork’s case management approach enables us to build a community of holistic support, to ensure lasting change and, improved life skills.
