Life Skills Group was founded by Nikki Bonus in 2001 in Sydney, Australia to address the urgent need for learning social and emotional intelligence in schools and communities. We have grown to be an international collective of over 80 team members. We partner with education sectors across states and districts to educate and empower students, teachers, families and to act as a voice for the voiceless. There is now global recognition that skills of social, emotional, physical and wellbeing learning are of critical importance in education and that these skills will be the key to empowering our future generation of leaders. Life Skills Group is unique among service providers as our programs draw upon the Health and Physical Education curriculum, social emotional learning frameworks, whole-school wellbeing strategies, mindfulness science and positive psychology in combination with effective pedagogical practices. Our programs consistently achieve high levels of impact and thousands of students who have completed our programs are better equipped to build a “flourishing world”.

We have run dog training from Orchard Farm for about 20 years, initially focussing on agility then moving into behaviour struggles and residential training. In 2019 we expanded the business and built our new kennels. Since then business has grown and we are now very busy with , residential training, boarding, puppy classes, 1 to 1 lessons, agility lessons, life stock socialisation, herding and hoopers.

Between us we have over 12 years coaching experience, 6 years at playing at an Academy, leadership skills, safe guarding requirements and UEFA coaching qualifications. We are passionate about football and helping children meet their full potential, we work alongside grassroots football clubs. It is designed for 14-19 year olds of all abilities working closely with local employers. Studio Schools offer a range of academic and vocational qualifications including GCSEs in English, maths and science. This approach ensures students’ learning is rooted in the real world and helps them to develop the skills they need to flourish in life. Our students gain from a broad range of employability and life skills and have the option to go on to university, apprenticeships, further training or employment. Employers are a key aspect of the studio school model, its success and the opportunities on offer to students. Students will work in smaller groups with individual support from a ‘personal tutor-coach’ who will meet with them one-to-one every fortnight to develop their own personalised learning plan and tailor their curriculum to individual needs and aspirations. Personalisation of the curriculum will be further supported through a small school environment in which every young person will be able to access the tailored support that they need.
