The five day National Vocational Beach Lifeguard Qualification (NVBLQ) will provide the learner with the knowledge and skills required in order to provide professional patrolling and water services, in surf conditions, with rescue skills and advanced fitness requirements. Many aspects of the course are physically demanding and WILL include running, swimming to set times and some lifting. This award is comprised of a variety of units and all must be successfully passed to attain the qualification.

NPORS MEWP Supervisor Awareness (N035)

The one day National Vocational Beach Lifeguard Proficiency Award will re-qualify the learner with the knowledge and skills required in order to provide professional patrolling and water services, in surf conditions, with rescue skills and advanced fitness requirements. Aspects of the course are physically demanding and will include running, swimming to set times and some lifting. The Award is comprised of a variety of units and all must be successfully passed to attain the qualification. There is a minimum of 20 hours learning required for this course is. As this is not achievable within the one day period it is prior learning and continual professional development will be assessed before being able to sign on to the course. As well as this CPD a certain amount of pre course learning will need to take place before the course commences.

This 1/2 day course gives delegates a better understanding of safety and the assessment of risk.

This course is for learners who support an individual with epilepsy who may require the administration of emergency medication. In addition to epilepsy awareness, this course includes the knowledge and skills along with competency sign-off for use of emergency medications.

Confined Space Risk Management and Permits - This course includes a basic level of confined space knowledge with the opportunity to use confined space equipment in a simulated environment and a team exercise of creating and reviewing a safe system of work. Note: A pre-requisite qualification is required to complete this course. Day 1 is a CS1 course and the Confined Space Risk Management (CSRM) can be completed as a 1 Day add-on. School age children can enroll onto our Beginners, Intermediate or Advance Level swimming lessons. At the majority of these lessons, the teacher is in the water for best teaching practice and support. At Beginners Level, an assistant may help in the water. At more Advance Level, the teacher may instruct and supervise the group lesson from poolside. Nervous swimmers are introduced to move around the pool with buoyancy aids in a group. Your teacher will help your child to develop confidence and submerge the face in the water from the first lesson.
