<p fr-original-style="" style="color: var(--text); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;">On this intermediate level&nbsp;boxes and beads class you will make three pieces:</p>
<ul fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: border-box;">
<li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: border-box;">a shadow box pendant;</li>
<li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: border-box;">a Pandora-style silver wrapped bead; and</li>
<li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: border-box;">a silver lentil bead</li>
</ul>
<p fr-original-style="" style="color: var(--text); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;">We will cover creating box pendants with flat or rounded sides, using moulds to make decorations, designing the front and back of a piece, making bails, as well as different types of unique silver beads.&nbsp;</p>
<p fr-original-style="" style="color: var(--text); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;">You will torch fire all your pieces so they are completed, and ready to take home by the end of the workshop.</p>
<p fr-original-style="" style="color: var(--text); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;">The class size is&nbsp;kept small to ensure you have plenty of supervised practice, and Anna&nbsp;will also share lots of hints and tips. By the end of the day, you should have the confidence and skill to start making silver boxes and beads from home.</p>
<p fr-original-style="" style="color: var(--text); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;">This full-day intermediate workshop is suitable for anyone who has attended a&nbsp;beginner&rsquo;s silver clay taster&nbsp;or Introduction to silver clay jewellery making workshop, or who has previous experience of working with metal clay.</p>
<p fr-original-style="" style="color: var(--text); font-size: var(--font-size); box-sizing: border-box;">The introductory price&nbsp;of this workshop&nbsp;includes access to all the equipment you will need, plus&nbsp;all the materials necessary&nbsp;to complete the projects, including 15g of silver clay and a fireable gemstone&nbsp;worth over &pound;30.&nbsp;</p>

Designed for those who have completed a beginner’s course or have some experience working with metal clay, this intermediate-level class offers expert guidance, hands-on learning, and plenty of insider tips from Anna Campbell, one of the UK’s leading metal clay instructors.
What is silver metal clay?
Silver clay is a material manufactured from 100% recycled silver, a plant-based organic binder and water. The silver is recycled from X-rays, the photographic industry, electronics etc. It can be moulded and shaped like clay. Once dry, it can be fired and that is when the alchemy happens - the clay turns to solid hallmark quality silver. You don’t need a lot of tools and equipment to get started and all pieces made on this workshop can be fired with a crème brûlée torch.
On this workshop, you’ll design and create two pieces of silver jewellery:
Shadow box pendant. Dive into the world of dimensional design as you craft a beautiful shadow box pendant. You’ll learn how to build depth and structure into your jewellery, creating a piece that’s both eye-catching and full of personal meaning.
Pandora-style silver-wrapped bead. Add a modern, stylish element to your jewellery collection with a Pandora-style wrap bead. This versatile bead can be used on a bracelet or necklace.

The Arienas Collective workshops, courses and events are run from a welcoming and supportive environment within a Georgian mews home in Edinburgh’s City Centre New Town. We invite you to join us, leave any day-to-day worries behind and immerse yourself in being creative.
Spaces on our workshops and courses are limited so that our creative team of artists and makers can offer you the hands-on help and support you need to make the most of your time with us. 
Our taster and introductory workshops focus on teaching creative skills and methods you can continue practising at home, using affordable materials and equipment. Where more expensive equipment is required we will mention this in the workshop description.
All the equipment and materials you need are included in the price, unless stated otherwise. 
Light refreshments from local suppliers are provided. On full day workshops you are welcome to bring your own lunch to eat inside or out. There is also a wide range of independent sit-in or takeaway delis, cafés, and restaurants, plus a range of supermarkets all within a 5-10 minute walk.
Accessibility
The workshop space is on the first-floor of our Georgian mews home and unfortunately we do not have lift access. Blue badge holders can park outside our front door on the single yellow line by arrangement.
Allergies
The workshop space is in our open plan living space and is not nut free. Please let us know about any skin or food allergies before booking. We offer a dairy-free milk and gluten free snack alternative.
Minimum number no refund policy
To ensure we can always pay our creatives a fair fee, we require a minimum number of bookings for each workshop and for this reason bookings are non-refundable. Should we have to cancel due to low numbers, we will offer you the option to swap to an alternative date or workshop, or to request a refund.
We do our very best to avoid cancellations. Since we often get late bookings, we keep our workshops on sale for as long as possible. We realise that some of you travel from afar, so if you book a space and have not yet received an email confirming your workshop is going ahead and need to make plans for your trip, please get in touch before booking any travel or accommodation so we can update you on booking numbers. Or check in before booking.
Private workshop bookings

Exact locations will be determined by the weather forecast on the day but my knowledge of the Lake District&rsquo;s fabulous locations will ensure that whatever the weather you will have the chance to come away with some fantastic images.</p>
<p class="">This course is a 1 to 1 or a 1 to 2 workshop. Please advise who will be attending whilst booking. The workshop is run as a photography tour with expert tuition and guidance included although this can be tailored to suit your needs.</p>
<p class="">A moderate level of fitness is required as there will be a bit of walking although we will not be climbing any hills. Please wear appropriate footwear and bring waterproof clothing. Due to the nature of the course I advise bringing a packed lunch.</p>

Meet The Founder
Gabriele Baldocci is a pianist, professor at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music in London, founder of the London Piano Centre, and founder of the Milton Keynes Music Academy. After taking his music degree at the Santa Cecilia Academy in Rome and winning several international Piano Competitions, he began his career as a piano soloist and chamber musician in the world’s most important musical centres. He is known worldwide for his improvisations in different musical styles, his sight reading skills and piano performance with Martha Argerich, and he works as an official Ambassador of her Martha Argerich Presents Project. Gabriele selects every single piano faculty member of the Piano Centre in order to provide the best musical knowledge the school can offer.

Is a Piano Instructor Really Necessary?
Yes, if you wish to reach an advanced level of piano playing, you will benefit immensely from a skilled piano teacher in London. Our piano teachers have performed across the world, studied with the world’s greatest pianists, and spent decades refining their craft. Furthermore, you will progress faster when you have to present your practice material to a teacher and learn to play on a weekly basis; nobody is checking in on you if you use an app to learn the piano, but if you attend a piano academy, you will feel a healthy amount of pressure.
Can I Expect Noticeable Progress Right Away?
Whether you are a beginner that wants to receive his first jazz piano lesson or an experienced instrumentalist that is looking for classical piano lessons, yes, you will start moving in the right direction in your first trial in our piano academy. If you have been working on intermediate or advanced repertoire already, our piano instructors will help you perfect that music and get it to a performance level starting in lesson one. If you are beginner, we’ll make sure you leave your piano class each week with a new concept or skill to practise at home. Of course, your improvement is contingent on your dedication to rehearsing at home – even if you take the most exceptional piano lessons, if you only learn to play the piano during your lessons with your piano teacher, you won’t improve.
Do I Need A Grand or Acoustic Piano At Home?
No, but you do need at least an 88 key digital keyboard that you can work with on your own. Preferably, if you do have a digital piano, the keys will be weighted. Nothing can match the sound and feel of a grand piano, but urban living doesn’t often allow for a large instrument, and modern digital pianos can be excellent instruments. If you are looking to take rock piano lessons or want to learn jazz piano, a digital piano might be good for you forever. However, if your goal is to play classical pieces, an acoustic piano will be necessary to unleash your full musical potential. Playing piano is a lifelong commitment and your instrument will become your most faithful companion, so we cannot recommend enough to choose it wisely. The team of piano instructors of our piano academy will be more than happy to facilitate the choice and guide you through various options and find the right fit for your individual needs.
