The aim of this course is to equip you with the theoretical knowledge, skills and confidence you need to deal with paediatric first aid situations. It covers all of the key topics including: emergency planning, assessing a situation, basic Life Support, CPR, shock, fractures, bleeding and a range of other minor illness and injuries. Please be aware that having a theoretical knowledge on its own is not enough to be considered competent in paediatric first aid and practical demonstration in some areas is required to complete this training. A Health & Safety Executive Approved course that complies with First Aid Regulations 1981. This is a refresher course for those that have previously attended and passed the First Aid At Work Course and now need to renew their certification. Who Should Attend? This webinar focuses on educating participants on the identification, diagnosis, and rehabilitation of acromioclavicular joint (ACJ) and sternoclavicular joint (SCJ) injuries. The webinar aims to equip participants with the skills necessary to diagnose these injuries by identifying three signs of each injury. Paediatric First Aid Paediatric First Aid at Work Two Day Course Cost:  £125 + vat per person This course has been developed for those who are working with children and infants. It will be of particular interest to teachers, child minders, crèche assistants, playgroup personnel and anyone else who has a responsibility for their welfare whilst in your care. The purpose of the qualification is for the learner to attain the knowledge and practical competence required to deal with a range of paediatric first-aid situations. This two-day qualification fulfils the requirements for first aid training detailed in the Department for Education’s statutory framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage.  SYLLABUS A range of subjects is covered, including: Role of the Paediatric First Aider Primary survey Resuscitation (CPR including the safe use of an AED) Wounds, bleeding and shock Allergic reactions including anaphylaxis Head, neck and back injuries Seizure Choking Minor injuries Recovery position Fractures Foreign bodies Diabetic emergencies Asthma Meningitis Febrile convulsions Extreme cold and heat Electrical incidents Maximum of 12 People Students must be a minimum of 16 years of age to qualify.
