I was a late comer to Floristry (my background is in Marketing) but the creative and organisational skills gained during my years of marketing are so valuable when it comes to planning flowers for an event. I re-trained in floristry while living in Australia, and in 2021 The Harbour Florist (named after Sydney Harbour) was born. I now work from a home studio near Newbury, Berkshire. I focus on weddings and events plus the occasional workshop, and my aim is always to create beautiful, relaxed, designs tailored specifically to you. I like to keep designs looking as close to nature as possible, using flowers in their natural form and colour, locally grown when available and combining with lush green foliage for added texture and contrast.

I am an independent florist who loves to guide people through the wonderful array of flower varieties, colours and floral design styles. I specialise in creating unique wedding and event flowers, personal and bespoke funeral tributes, along with fun and informative seasonal workshops. I work from my studio in Yatton, Somerset, but I am happy to travel to the surrounding areas such of Bristol, Bath, Devon and Gloucestershire.

I am an artisan flower farmer and city and guilds trained florist based in near York. I am a huge advocate for sustainable British flowers and love to use my own flowers where possible. Having a PhD in plant pathology I am interested in sustainable growing methods and I don’t use pesticides or fungicides on my flower farm. I grow my flowers on the family farm which is 8 miles from the centre of York and create floral arrangements for events and special occasions with an emphasis on scent, colour and seasonality that are inspired by nature and the changing seasons. I love running workshops and teaching about my sustainable methods and the science behind the growing.
