Delegates will develop knowledge of the requirements for the design, installation and commissioning of Fire Detection and Fire Alarm systems within domestic properties in compliance with the requirements of BS 5839-6 and other codes of practice.

The course is suitable for those employees who may need to use a fire extinguisher in an emergency. It is also a requirement under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 that all key employees should receive training in the use of fire extinguishers and know what to do in the event of fire.

Learners will develop knowledge from the FD&FA foundation module and/or industry experience and apply this to the maintenance of FD&FA systems.

We supply Fire Marshal, Warden, Awareness training at your location and tailor it to your work sector, as such your staff will have no travelling or subsistence expenses minimising disruption for your organisation. Our trainer will bring all materials so you only need to provide a room with a plug socket. There is a practical element with extinguishers outside using our propane burners, which are fully insured and environmentally friendly. We require approximately 4 car parking spaces for this, if you do not have enough space we provide extinguisher discharge only.   The training is accredited by the Institute of Fire Safety Managers, all attendees will receive individual Electronic Certificates and our Fire Warden Quick Guide, in addition a Group Certificate will be sent with all names on for audit purposes and your central records.

This training course has been designed to give all staff the knowledge of how to safely use a Vehicle Fire Blanket in the event of a fire. Those who attend the course will be taught how to safely deploy the blanket, remove the blanket and clean up and re-pack the blanket for its next use. As part of the training, the attendees will also be shown and taught the best practices for handling the fire blanket including the necessary steps of a periodic check of the blanket. Another key aspect to the Vehicle Fire Blanket Training Course is educating people on the possible fire situations with electric and hybrid vehicles and how to identify potential fire issues and risks. The course will end with a survey of the customers site to identify the best location for the fire blanket(s) to be located and determine any signage and additional equipment which may be required.

This qualification is aimed at anyone involved in the management of fire safety in any workplace. This includes managers, supervisors, team leaders, fire wardens (marshals) and staff working in any area where there is a potential risk of fire.

This course is ideal to give all members of staff basic fire training to increase awareness and cooperation in the event of a fire in the workplace.

Course Objectives The delegates are able to demonstrate knowledge of the development and spread of fire. The delegates are able to demonstrate knowledge of the causes of fires in wind turbines and the dangers related to this. The delegates are able to identify any sign of a fire in a wind turbine environment. The delegates are able to demonstrate knowledge of the contingency plans in a wind turbine environment including smoke detection and emergency escape procedures. The delegates are able to demonstrate correct actions on discovering a fire including correct operation and fire extinguishing by means of the firefighting equipment in a WTG.
