Basic Life Support (BLS) Course

Heart centred Qi-Gong with Emma Sunday 9th June 2024 10am-1pm Price: £40  Welcome to the Sunhouse for another blissful morning of Qi-Gong and meditation. In this summer session we will be exploring the FIRE element through heart centred Qi-Gong.  Imagine bare-feet on the grass, absorbing the morning sunlight on your skin, serenaded by the sounds of the forest and smells of fresh blossom filling the air. Let yourself be supported and grounded by nature all around us.  Emma will guide us through a gentle yet powerful Qi-Gong practice, a form of movement meditation helping to clear out energetic blockages so you can feel more connected with your deeper self.  In this summer session we will explore what is know as the three treasures; Jing (Essence), Qi (Energy), Shen (Mind-Spirit). We will begin with active dynamic Qi-Gong exercises working with our ‘Jing’ energy opening our physical body with tapping, self massage and stretches, we will then access the ‘Qi’ energetic level with a focus on our heart Qi through slow flowing movements and breathing practices. Basic Life Support Qualification Four Hours Cost:  £40 + vat per person A maximum of 12 students can be accommodated on this course, and all candidates must be a minimum of 14 years of age to qualify. SYLLABUS This regulated Level 2 Basic Life Support qualification will give learners the skills, knowledge and practical competence to administer First Aid until Professional Medical help arrives. It is particularly suitable for healthcare professionals for the purpose of Continual Professional Development (CPD. SYLLABUS A range of subjects are covered including: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Primary Survey Choking Assessment and Marking Safe use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Recovery Position CERTIFICATION This qualification is valid for three years from the date of achievement. The learner will need to complete the full course again to qualify for a further three years. It is recommended that the learner attends annual refresher training. Immediate Life Support • ILS Training The Immediate Life Support (ILS) course provides the necessary knowledge and skills when dealing with cardiac arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies. These workshops are designed for healthcare professionals who must be equipped to deal with life-threatening emergencies. Our ILS workshops are interactive, engaging, and hands-on. We believe that learning is best achieved through practice, so our workshops involve real-life scenarios where participants can apply their newly acquired skills under the guidance of experienced instructors. Upon completion of a First-Aid Qualification, employers can be assured that they have highly-trained personnel capable of responding swiftly and effectively to any First-Aid needs. This fulfils legal obligations and contributes to a safer, more caring work environment for all. Westfield London Sunday 19th May 12pm See link below to book!  Childrens Pen Tie Dye T-shirt Upcycling – Good Fest (westfield.com) Workshop Description & Dates Tiptree, Essex Come along to this new family based workshop, adding colour and individuality to a used piece of clothing creating a non- messy Tie Dye effect!  This Workshop is to encourage younger people to get reuse creative on maybe a favourite piece of clothing like a cotton T'shirt, hoody or hat even a plain pillow case or duvet! Instead of throwing out a faded old T'shirt why not bring it back to life and personalise it using dyes, embellishment and a scissor upcycle by a no sew transformation!  This is a 2 hour workshop is suitable for the whole family, kids 7 years old and upwards must be accompanied by an adult.  T'shirts are included if needed! We can take group bookings  Ideal gift. Group bookings for birthday parties, please enquire and prices. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Tom's Farm Shop has a tearoom.
