At DOBA Studio, we offer workshops that focus on the importance of recycling plastic waste and turning it into beautiful pieces of art. Our artistic workspace specializes in using a combination of three portable and easy-to-use machines - a shredder, injection machine, and extruder - to create unique and eye-catching pieces that raise awareness about environmental issues.
WHAT TO DO WITH THE PLASTIC THAT ALREADY EXISTS?
Our workshops are designed for all skill levels, from beginners to experienced artists. You'll get to work with recycled plastic waste collected from the local community, giving you a hands-on experience in upcycling. Not only will you have the opportunity to create something beautiful, but you'll also be making a positive impact on the planet by reducing plastic pollution. 
During the workshop, you'll get to use all three machines and leave with a handmade souvenir of your choice. Whether it's a keychain turtle, hexagonal coaster, or soap dish, the possibilities are endless. Creativity is the limit!

We believe that art can be both beautiful and sustainable. By taking part in our workshops, you'll not only learn a new skill, but also gain knowledge about the importance of sustainability in our daily lives. Plus, it's a fun and educational way to spend time with friends or family!

Introduction
Employee Assistance Programmes (EAPs) are a strategic and cost‐effective workplace programme that is designed to assist productivity and attendance issues within the workplace and support employees to identify and resolve personal concerns that may affect job performance. These issues might include health, marital, family, financial, alcohol, drug, legal, emotional, stress, or other personal issues.

Trainer
The trainer is Tony Buon, the Managing Partner of Buon Consultancy. He is a well known EAP Professional with over 30 years experience in the field. Tony is also a qualified workplace psychologist, speaker, mediator and author. Tony is a Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP).
Tony holds Diplomas in Mediation, Conflict Resolution, Counselling and Teaching. Degrees in Psychology and Behavioural Sciences and Post‐Graduate Qualifications in Education and Business Psychology. He is also an Accredited Mediator (MII).
Tony has previously owned and run one of the world’s largest global EAP businesses and has consulted with EAP Providers and Buyers on a global basis since 1985.

Prerequisites

To ensure your success in this course you should be an experienced computer user who is comfortable setting up and configuring computers and electronic devices.

Target Student

This course is designed for IT professionals with baseline skills in computer hardware, software support, and development who want to learn how to design, develop, implement, operate, and manage Internet of Things devices and related systems. The student is interested in learning more about embedded systems, microcontroller programming, IoT security, and the development life cycle for IoT projects.
While students will gain hands-on experience assembling a prototype IoT device and using software development tools, these activities are closely guided, so previous experience in electronics assembly and programming are not required. This course prepares students for taking the Certified Internet of Things (IoT) Practitioner Exam.

The course covers all aspects of Nutrition and the Malnutrition Universal Screening Tool (MUST), including practical application in a classroom or virtual environment. By the end of the course, participants will have gained the necessary skills and knowledge to provide effective care and support for individuals by preventing and managing malnutrition and dehydration, which are critical aspects of maintaining overall health and wellbeing.
Why Is It Important?
Assessing an individual’s nutritional needs is a fundamental aspect of healthcare. Providing appropriate nutrition, including nutritional supplements and parenteral nutrition, is critical in maintaining an individual’s health and wellbeing. 
The Malnutrition Universal Screening Tool (MUST) is a five-step screening tool designed to identify adults who are at risk of malnutrition, undernutrition, or obesity. The tool provides a systematic approach for screening and managing nutritional risk. Moreover, it is important to consider individuals’ preferences, religious and cultural backgrounds when providing food and drink. 
By having a thorough understanding of tools like the MUST, healthcare professionals can ensure that they provide optimal care to their patients and help prevent malnutrition and dehydration, which are significant risk factors for poor health outcomes.

4 - IR Vein Detector:
Demonstration of the IR vein detector for assisting in detection of difficult veins.
5 - Veins in back of hand:
Detecting suitable veins in the back of the hand.
6 - POC testing:
Point of Care Testing - use of glucose meter to demonstrate a typical POC test procedure. Correct use and overview of other POC test devices.
7 - Using lancets (finger collection)
We look at the correct use of lancets for POC testing and whole blood micro-collection.

The Academy provides a list of Private and NHS Dental Surgeries, who are regularly contacting us when looking for more Trainee Dental Nurses, so you can contact them directly as a registered student at the Academy. This is a paid job, unless you would like to work voluntary for personal reasons. We also provide a reference letter to the employee in case you need it.

The curriculum is based on the GDC (General Dental Council) registration requirements for dental nurses. What Can You Expect to Earn as a Dental Nurse? Compared to other caring professions, Dental Nursing is well paid and offers plenty of opportunity for continued training and development. When are the exams?
There are two exams:
1. Multiple choice theory exam. November and March.
2. Practical exam. January and June. 
Record of Experience (eROE)
To be eligible to sit your first exam, you have to complete your electronic Record of Experience (eROE). The eROE has to be submitted to your tutor by 31st Jan for March exam, and 31st August for November exam.

How do I attend?

EITHER -
CLASSROOM OPTION - Attend one of our scheduled classroom locations, completing your Introduction to Phlebotomy Course over 2 days. You will also complete your Advanced Training at the end of the first day and your Competency Training at the end of the second day.

Our Introduction to Phlebotomy and Advanced Phlebotomy Training Kits are supplied at no charge when booking our virtual classroom training option.
If you would like to add one or both of these kits to your classroom training option then these are available to add at time of booking. Our comprehensive training kits each mirror the same equipment and supplies used in the classroom and both include detailed video tutorials, allowing you to continue to practice and "hone" your skills after you have completed your practical training.

VIRTUAL CLASSROOM OPTION- Complete your theory training online at home or work, then join us for a one day Zoom session to complete your Introduction to Phlebotomy virtual classroom training, followed by your Advanced Training in the evening of the same day. You have the option to add a classroom-based competency session, awarding a CPD Accredited Geopace Certificate of Competency, at time of booking.

Our Virtual Classroom option includes two very comprehensive training kits - one for your introductory course and one for your advanced course. Kits are included at no charge (normally £79.95 each) and are yours to keep and to continue to practice with after you have finished your courses.
