The Emergency First Aid at Work course is designed for anyone who is or is going to be an appointed person to take responsibility for First Aid arrangements in the workplace.
The Emergency First Aid at Work course is recognized by the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) as being a requirement of employers in maintaining a safe environment in the workplace.
The Emergency First Aid at Work course is designed to teach the learner how to treat someone who is injured or becomes ill at work, whereas a qualified First Aider has received training that includes EFAW and also equips the first-aider to apply first aid to a range of specific injuries and illnesses. An emergency first-aider is recommended for premises with small numbers of employees.
