Learners will gain the knowledge, skills and competences needed to deal with a wide range of pre-hospital care emergencies, such as: managing a patient’s airways, catastrophic bleeding, management of fractures, medical emergencies and more. Endorsed by The Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care – The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, and fulfilling the competencies set out in the PHEM skills framework at descriptor level D, this fantastic qualification is perfect for a range of roles in emergency care, such as: Ambulance Care Assistant (PTS), Community First Responder or Event First Responder and more. Learners must be at least 17 years old on the first day of training. Learners must hold a valid in date FREC3 certificate. The Learner needs to retake the qualification before the certificate expiry date to remain qualified. This qualification is for people who have a specific responsibility at work, or in voluntary and community activities to provide prehospital care to patients requiring emergency care/treatment. It is ideal for those looking to progress their careers within the emergency services, ambulance services, healthcare settings and supports specialist medical roles within law enforcement and security, energy and utilities, construction and military. 

Emergency First Aid at Work: Our First Aid at Work Course is designed for all employees and provides expert audio visual tutorials, easy-to-follow modules, and practical guidance for low-risk work settings such as offices, restaurants, and shops. Key topics include first aid boxes, the recovery position, administering CPR, and treating secondary illnesses like asthma and allergies. Having a basic understanding of first aid is a crucial skill, whether at work or at home. It could mean the difference between life and death, so it’s never too late to learn. This course introduces the legal framework surrounding first aid and teaches essential techniques, from managing life-threatening emergencies to conducting a head-to-toe check on injured individuals. You will learn how to conduct CPR, treat fractures, dislocations, and breathing issues, and understand when to call for emergency help. Upon completing the First Aid at Work Training Course, you'll receive a CPD-accredited certificate, giving you the confidence and skills to implement effective first-aid measures in your workplace.

Be able to administer first aid to an infant and a child with head, neck or back injury. Assess an emergency situation safely. Understand how to administer first aid to an infant with conditions affecting the eyes, ears and nose. Be able to provide first aid for an infant and a child who is unresponsive and breathing normally. Understand how to administer emergency first aid to an infant and a child with an acute medical condition or sudden illness. Be able to provide first aid for an infant and a child who is unresponsive and not breathing normally. Understand how to administer first aid to an infant and a child who is experiencing the effects of extreme heat and cold. Be able to provide first aid for an infant and a child who is choking. This qualification is for people who have a specific responsibility at work, or in voluntary and community activities, to provide first aid to children (including babies) when dealing with: An emergency situation. Chronic or sudden paediatric illness. Paediatric injury. Pre-requisites Students must be at least 16 years old on the first day of training. Assessment and Certifications Assessment of this course is continuous and also includes 2 theory/multiple choice question papers. Successful students will receive an Immerse Training Certificate, which is valid for three years. This certificate will be issued by Qualsafe, the awarding body for Immerse Training. Additional Information Completion of the Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid at Work includes 2 credits at Level 2 of the Qualification Credit Framework (QCF). Paediatric First Aid Courses First Aid courses for individuals and workplaces who provide care to or work with children and young people. Our paediatric courses are fully accredited, registered and meet Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and OFSTED guidelines. From 1 day Emergency Paediatric First Aid to day Paediatric First Aid courses. We specialise in on-site courses at your workplace, tailored to the specific risks associated with your business. All courses can be delivered at our training centre in Poole, Dorset or we can deliver on-site across Bournemouth, Poole, Dorset, Hampshire and the South of England.

Our first aid at work training courses are in accordance with guidance provided by the Health & Safety executive (HSE) and are both fun and informative. This qualification should enable Learners to attain the knowledge and practical competencies needed to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations. Learners should be able to demonstrate the practical administration of safe, prompt, effective first aid in emergency situations with an understanding of the role of first aider. and include dynamic and realistic casualty simulation which puts the candidates through their paces. We hold the Emergency First Aid at Work at our Education Centre in Ellesmere Port. We are also able to teach this course 'in-house' at our clients preferred site. Learners must be at least 14 years old on the first day of training and be able to perform tasks at floor level. There are no other formal entry requirements but we strongly recommend that Learners have a minimum of Level 1 in literacy and numeracy or equivalent.

When there is a shooting, stabbing or bomb explosion the initial priority will be public safety. This can delay the time before the emergency services are able to reach the injured. Our 3 hour citizenAID course enables the general public to be effective in these situations before the emergency services are available to provide professional medical support. This course can be delivered on-site or at our training centre in Poole, Dorset. First Aid British Army, Battlefield Casualty Drills Course Content Following this course students will: Be able to use the citizenAID app/pocket guide in an emergency situation. Be able to provide immediate first aid to an unresponsive casualty who is breathing. Be able to provide first aid to a casualty with severe external bleeding. Who should attend? This qualification is for all members of the public who wish to learn lifesaving skills and techniques in the event of a deliberate multiple casualty incident. Pre-requisites Students must be at least 14 years old on the first day of training. Assessment and Certifications Assessment of this course is continuous and will take place through knowledge and skills observations. Successful students will receive an Immerse Training Certificate, which is valid for three years. This certificate will be issued by Qualsafe, the awarding body for Immerse Training. e-ALS has been developed using the RCUKs evidence-based Guidelines and decades of experience in delivering effective resuscitation courses for healthcare professionals, and will help build the confidence needed to take the lead in an emergency. During the course, you will develop the knowledge and skills required to: Recognise and manage the deteriorating patient using a structured ABCDE approach; Deliver standardised CPR in adults; Manage a cardiac arrest by working with a multidisciplinary team in an emergency situation; Become an effective and confident team member and leader by utilising non-technical skills. Who is the course for? The e-ALS course is designed for healthcare professionals who need skills in advanced life support as part of their clinical duties, as well as those who teach these skills on a regular basis. This includes doctors, paramedics and nurses working in acute care areas (e.g. ED, CCU, ICU, HDU, operating theatres, acute medical admissions units) or on resuscitation/ medical emergency/ Critical Care Outreach teams. All applicants must hold a professional healthcare qualification or be in training for a professional healthcare qualification. Medical students in their final year of training can be accepted as Candidates if this is an established local arrangement. Instructions Candidates do a day of e-learning followed by a day of face-to-face learning at one of our Course Centres. Pre course preparation: Before the course, you will be registered on the RCUK Learning Management System (LMS). Here, you can access pre-course course modules that will prepare you for your face-to-face session and a pre-course multiple choice question (MCQ) paper. You will receive your course manual one month before the course. Candidates are expected to read the manual in preparation for the course and submit a completed pre-course MCQ paper before the course begins. Programme: As part of your e-learning you will read through modules that cover all core components of the course. These modules will help you learn at your own pace and test your knowledge before attending a face-to-face day where you will develop your practical skills with the help of our Instructors, and participate in cardiac arrest simulations (CASTeach). Refreshments including lunch are included on all RCUK courses with Immerse Medical Due to the expense incurred in running this course there will be no refund for candidates who, for whatever reason do not attend the course, or cancel within six weeks of the course unless a replacement candidate can be found.
