1 Day Emergency First Aid Description: The 1 Day Emergency First Aid at Work course is nationally recognised. It meets the standards required to help comply with Health and Safety (First aid) regulations. This one-day course will help you meet your regulatory requirements if your risk assessment indicates that first aid training covering emergency protocols only, is sufficient for your workplace.It is especially suited for nominated first aiders in smaller or a low risk working environment. Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation and care of the unconscious requires physical effort. Learners should be capable of working with casualties at floor level. Learners receive an Emergency First Aid guide book, a training dressing and a CPR barrier protection device. The HSE strongly recommend that all First Aiders undertake annual refresher training of at least 3 hours per year. The 1 Day Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work RQF qualification is tailored for smaller workplaces and for staff who work in low hazard environments. This 6 hour course is designed to train candidates in both theoretical and practical aspects of First Aid to the standard required by the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.

Paediatric First Aid (12 Hour) Description: This two-day paediatric first aid course focuses on emergency scenarios that face those looking after young children and infants, including day nurseries, private nursery schools, pre-schools, before and after school clubs for children in the early years age group, childminders, parents and carers of children at home. Designed around the needs of all child carers, our paediatric first aid courses place emphasis on dealing with sick or injured children and babies. Our 12 hour course syllabus exceeds the Ofsted Early Years and Childcare Register requirements. Our professional trainers utilise both practical and theory sessions. This Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF) Level 3 Award qualification is designed for individuals who wish to act as an emergency first aider in their workplace. This Level 3 Award (EFAW) course is fully accredited and is statutory qualification specifically designed for individuals who wish to act as an emergency first aider in their workplace.

This is a one day course for employees in a low risk environment where a qualified first aider is necessary. This course became EMERGENCY FIRST AID AT WORK from October 2009 making it a qualification and not just an attendance.

Recent changes to Forestry Commission policy recommend those who work in the Forestry industry attend training which includes additional topics relevant to the risks and nature or their work. The Forestry Commission recommend topics including: Crush Injuries Catastrophic bleeding including chainsaw including chainsaw injuries and gun shot wounds Hypothermia / Exposure Suspension injuries Lyme's Disease Lightning & High Voltage injuries Casualty evacuation planning These are in addition to the normal Emergency First Aid criteria.
