Full stack, in-depth, comprehensive in classroom 2 month training on Java programming. 1 lesson a week; the other days you work on your own on structured homework and are supported with a 1-1 mentor.

In Level 1 the emphasis is on self healing. You will receive four attunements to help you remember that you are, and always have been Reiki. You will be taught the five principles to assist you in keeping mindfulness and setting the intention. You will be given the first symbol, Cho Ku Rei.

ILM Level 3 Award in Effective Coaching – 5 day Accredited training course delivered in Nottingham 5 day course delivered in 5 x 1 day deliveries at one day per month. Ideal for those who are required to coach others within their organisation either as a line manager or where coaching forms part of their job role. Participants must have access to at least one coachee during the course to undertake a minimum of four hours of coaching outside of the course days

In Level 2 you will be shown the Reiki symbols Sei Hay Ki for emotional and mental healing and Hon sha ze sho nen to use for distant healing. You will receive another attunement.

The ability to influence others is a life skill but also one that has never been so critically useful at work. This one day workshop will set you on the road to discover what you need to be able to think and do that will help you take people with you. This involves learning some new tools and strategies that fit the situation you are in and making sure you use the right skills and behaviours to influence well, whether it is a single person or a room full of cynical expectant people! ILM Level 5 Certificate in Leadership & Management – 9 day Accredited training course delivered in Nottingham A 7 day course delivered over 5 months – one day each 3 weeks or thereabouts. Combination of fully interactive, tutor led online training and traditional face to face at our purpose designed training centre in Nottinghamshire. The Level 5 is the industry standard which most corporate organisations, or professional associations would look for to establish credibility as a “qualified” coach. Participants on the programme, and those who attain the qualification will be entitled to a 25% off membership of the EMCC “European Coaching and Mentoring Council” Membership, the leading association in the field of Coaching and Mentoring. More information can be found here It provides a prestigious qualification for individuals who wish to become more effective at coaching and mentoring practice. Suitable for line managers who are required to enable and develop others; those with coaching or mentoring within the wider scope of their role; and those who have an active interest in coaching or mentoring and may wish to undertake freelance work. Participants must have access to a minimum of two coachees during the course to undertake at least eighteen hours of coaching outside of the course days*

1 DAY T-SHIRT PRINTING WORKSHOP £75.00 The perfect introduction to t-shirt screen printing, our beginner workshop is ideal for anyone interested in learning the complete screen printing process or simply looking to print some t-shirts with their own design for a special occasion. The sessions will run from 10am – 4pm with a 1 hour break for lunch. The day will be split as follows: Morning After a short intro into the studio and the process you’ll guided through how to coat and expose your design onto your screen. Afternoon After lunch we’ll cover ink mixing and the process of setting up the t-shirt carousel ready for printing. When the screens are dry and colours are chosen everyone will have a go at printing their t-shirts. 1 DAY PAPER PRINTING WORKSHOP £75.00 The perfect introduction to paper screen printing, our beginner workshop is ideal for anyone interested in learning the complete screen printing process or simply looking to print an edition with their own design for a special occasion. The sessions will run from 10am – 4pm with a 1 hour break for lunch, a great opportunity to sample one of the many food kiosks located on levels 5 and 6 of the building. The day will be split as follows: Morning After a short intro into the studio and the process you’ll guided through how to coat and expose your design onto your screen. Afternoon After lunch we’ll cover ink mixing and the process of setting up the paper bed ready for printing. 1 DAY FABRIC PRINTING WORKSHOP £75.00 The perfect introduction to fabric screen printing, our beginner workshop is ideal for anyone interested in learning the complete screen printing process or simply looking to print some tea towels or cushion covers with their own design for a special occasion. The sessions will run from 10am – 4:00pm (subject to class size) with a 30 min break for lunch. The day will be split as follows: Morning After a short intro into the studio and the process you’ll guided through how to coat and expose your design onto your screen. Afternoon After lunch we’ll decide on colours and select print pastes and go through the process of setting up the fabric tables ready for printing. When the screens are dry everyone will have a go at printing their fabric. Each person will walk away with 1 metre of fabric printed with their own 1 or 2 colour design. The RYA Powerboat Instructor Skills Assessment is a mandatory requirement ahead of all Powerboat Instructor courses. Course Duration 1/2 day for each group of 3 attendees. If we have 6 attending then one group will go afloat in the morning and another in the afternoon with an overlap at lunchtime to address the theory element of the assessment. Instructor – student ratio 3 students to 1 Powerboat Trainer per boat. Minimum Age Those over the age of 16 can attend the assessment. Course price For those attending the RYA Powerboat Instructor course with us the cost of the assessment is £150. Course dates You can attend a pre-assessment at any time up to 6 months before your course. Assessments are always scheduled the day before a instructors course for those that can’t get to the centre ahead of the course. We are usually happy to schedule dates for assessments to suit your diary. Candidates for the pre-assessment will be expected to demonstrate competence in Hold off a mark Pick up and secure to a buoy Moor alongside up/downtide Turn using warps Turn in a confined space Recover a man overboard (dummy) Stop and start the engine Planing speed runs including figure 8 and ‘U’ turns Theory including charts, tides, buoyage, colregs and pilotage RYA Instructor Training At Torbay Sea School we have trained many RYA Instructors who have gone on to instruct with us, other RYA training centres or as freelance instructors. During the course of your general RYA training you will have gained all the skills necessary to sail, motor or power boat with confidence to a high standard. The following courses consolidate all those skills and give you the tools required to instruct others to gain their RYA qualifications. You will be able to utilise our Instructors experience and our boats/equipment to feel at ease with instructing others.
