P901 - Management and control of building hot and cold water services is there to provide background and an overview of the risk of Legionella infection and how it can be controlled in domestic type hot and cold water systems. (This course is also a pre-requirement before undertaking course P903 - Management and Control of Evaporative Cooling Systems and other High Risk Industrial Systems or P904 - Management and Control in Leisure, Display, Therapy and other Non-Industrial Systems.)

P900 - Maintenance and testing of control measures for domestic hot and cold water systems is there to provide the basis of competence of operatives undertaking the operation and monitoring of domestic hot and cold water systems in buildings. The objective is to enable the candidates to identify the risks posed by legionella bacteria and understand how to manage the risks in domestic water systems, to a standard which minimises the risk of exposure and ill health.

P405 Managing Asbestos in Buildings is the industry standard qualification for those whose work involves asbestos management, such as duty holders and building managers. In addition to holding the qualification, they are required to undertake and provide evidence of annual refresher training. RP405 Refresher is a new course, specifically designed to meet this requirement. RP405 Refresher enables candidates to revise and update their knowledge on good asbestos management practices, and to receive a certificate of course completion by passing a written examination, which covers both the theory and practice of managing asbestos in buildings.

On the literary and upmarket side, she is looking for novels infused with emotions that capture the human experience and make readers think. If your literary novel is something that A24 productions might turn into a movie, this is Liza’s taste. When it comes to fantasy, she loves urban and grounded fantasy (no sci-fi please!), and is always happy to look at anything with a vampire, werewolf, witches, warlocks, fairies, and perhaps a sinister selkie or two. She is also very much looking for romantasy and is the best person at the agency to submit that too. For thrillers, send her anything set in an exotic location, high-concept, or things with a speculative twist. She loves when characters are put in situations she would never want to be in, and then they have to get out of it. Her recent favourite fiction includes: Notes on an Execution, Lady Macbethad, Hamnet, A Discovery of Witches, House of Earth and Blood, The Starless Sea, Piranesi, Our Wives Under the Sea, The Pisces, Such A Fun Age. When it comes to non fiction, she is looking for books that teach her something new or reframe a topic from an alternative point of view. This can include cookery, pop science, and social history. This one day course will support teachers and RSE leads in special colleges and special schools with post 16 learners to deliver a meaningful curriculum through the Preparing for Adulthood outcomes. The course will explore key issues for older learners, including how to teach about practical aspects of relationships such as attraction and fancying people, starting relationships, negotiation and consent discussions, and how to keep yourself safe. Participants will leave with increased confidence to develop and deliver a skills-based, rights focused curriculum that will empower learners to be able to navigate their personal lives and relationships with autonomy.   Aim: To develop confidence to create and deliver an age-appropriate, rights based RSE curriculum for young adults with learning disabilities.   Outcomes: Participants will develop understanding of requirements for RSE for older learners, including the statutory guidance and preparation for adulthood outcomes, and how RSE can support independent living consider specific challenges young people with SEND may face in developing relationships and explore practical and creative ways to support relationship skill development explore strategies to address sexualised behaviour, and what to do if a learner begins or wants to masturbate in college   Who is this course for?
