3 Hours Description: This 3 hour course provides your first aiders with the opportunity to practice and update their practical skills, refresh theoretical knowledge and ensures that they are kept up to date with the latest first aid guidelines. Assessment and Certification Students are continuously assessed throughout the course. Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation and care of the unconscious requires physical effort. Learners should be capable of working with casualties at floor level. Certificates are issued on all first aid courses which includes the annual refresher course date. The HSE strongly recommend that all First Aiders undertake annual refresher training of at least 3 hours per year. Recommended Content Planning for and dealing with emergencies Resuscitation (CPR) Care of the unconscious casualty Control of bleeding Any other subject required Cost: £50.00 + VAT

This course will equip learners with the skills and confidence to respond to first aid incidents.

Legionella awareness is suitable for any persons wanting to gain an understanding of Legionella and how to prevent or control the risk of exposure to Legionella bacteria. The main subject areas of the course are: What Legionella is Obligations under current Health & Safety legislation and ACoP L8 System hygiene Assessing and managing risk Outbreaks Hot and cold water systems Risks in other types of water systems Multiple choice test (if required).

Youth Club Bowling Trip – Ashford Bowling Join us for a fun, social morning of bowling with Includes Us 2 Youth Club! 📍Ashford Bowling Alley 🕙 Starts at 11:30am – approx. finish 13:30pm 💷 £10 per person (includes two games of bowling) After bowling, there’s the optional chance to stay for something to eat. We’ll support young people in ordering food if they wish, but please note this is not included in the price. Volunteer support will be limited, so this event is best suited to young people who are able to attend independently. This is a relaxed social activity, not a structured youth work session. Parents/carers are welcome to stay if they prefer or feel their young person may need extra support – this is entirely optional. Open to Youth Club members only. Booking is essential.

Craft workshop using a variety including glass cutting along with designing with dichroic glass elements to make sparkling glass jewellery. Fused Glass Workshop – Glitzy Glass Jewellery I want to share my 15+ years of experience with you. This fused glass workshop is held at my Derbyshire studio and gallery space in the middle of Wirksworth, near Matlock. About this fused glass workshop Everyone loves sparkle and this workshop is perfect for making wearable art for yourself or to give as give away as gifts. After a brief introduction to how to work safely with glass, I will teach you the technique of cutting and layering sheet glass to produce your own unique creations. The process of cutting is a skill that takes time to develop but wonderful designs can be built from basic shapes. No experience necessary, just an understanding that you might not be “perfect” straight away. I’m told I make it look easy, but I’ve been doing it, almost daily, for 15 years! Produce a range of unique jewellery using specialist glass called Dichroic Glass, a rainbow of colours and a myriad of decorative inclusions, you will design and make jewellery pieces including pendants, earrings, cufflinks and brooches. Your creations will need to be fired, cleaned and finished by Stevie so will be ready in around three weeks. The materials cost will enable you to make at least 3 (maybe 4) pieces in the time, maybe more depending on your chosen designs and how quickly you work.
